I buy a lot of supplies offline (at dollar stores, Wal-Mart, etc.) because prices are low and I do not have to pay for shipping. However, I do buy some stuff online and I have listed these sites below.

I hope this information will be helpful to you. If you know of some other great resources, please e-mail me and I will update my Vendors List.

Candy and Chocolate

1) Costco, Sam’s Club, and Wal-Mart – their candy prices are very good. You can buy chocolates and candies all year round, and you do not pay for shipping.

2) You can also check out these candy online stores:

Shipping costs are based on the weight of the order and your geographic location. That’s why I recommend that you choose an online store that is located as close to you as possible. For example, if you live in AZ, choose a company that is located in California, not in Pennsylvania. That way, you will save on shipping. For example, if you live in AZ and order chocolates (14 lbs) from Pennsylvania using ‘2nd day air delivery’ option, you will pay around $60 - $100. If you order from California, you will pay around $25 - $45 for shipping.

Orders are shipped via UPS, and you will have shipping options such as: ground, next day, 2nd day, or 3rd day. The cost will adjust automatically with your choice. 2nd Day Air is normally about double the cost of Ground shipping.

During the summer, I suggest selecting "2nd Day Air Delivery" or “Next Day Air Delivery”, especially when purchasing products that may melt (e.g., chocolates, taffy, and gummies). To help minimize shipping costs, you can split your order into two: meltable candy (chocolates, gummies, taffy, etc.) via expedited shipping and candy that is not heat sensitive (hard candy, gum, powder candy, etc.) via ground shipping.

I do not recommend that you put the candies in the refrigerator after you receive them as this may change the color of the candy; try to keep the candy at a cool room temperature instead.

Thus, if you decide to buy candy online:

1. Choose an online store with a physical address as close to your location as possible.

2. If there are several online candy stores close to you, see if you can go to their warehouse and pick up your candy to save on shipping costs.

Compare prices on the chosen candy and shipping costs on each of the sites before ordering.

Their prices are among the lowest on the Internet. Their shipping cost is also very reasonable. They have a wide variety of candy.

Their prices on candy are among the lowest on the Internet.

They are located in Pennsylvania.

Their prices are among the lowest on the Internet.

However, their 2nd day delivery option is quite expensive.

GOOD: Most orders over $59.95 ship FREE (UPS ground shipping)! If you buy a lot of candy, this is a great option. However, for hot months of the year, you will need to choose 2nd day delivery if you order candy that could melt which is not free.

Ribbon

1) Costco offers great prices on ribbon, but they sell the ribbon only during certain periods so you need to buy it when you see it.

2) Try thrift stores or Dollar Stores.

Fabric stores usually have remnants for really cheap. February is when stores do inventory and have to let last year’s things go at really cheap prices.

Watch Michaels and Hobby Lobby and get their ribbon when it is on sale.

Their ribbon prices are some of the lowest on the web. They are located in Los Angeles, California.

There is a $50.00 minimum order amount.

Shipping charges are determined by the weight of the order and the destination.

No minimum order. $8.75 flat rate ground shipping in the 48 states.

Their ribbon prices are even a little bit lower than at http://www.unitedcraftus.com but they don’t have a wide variety of ribbon. They carry tulle and curling ribbon as well.

Their prices are very reasonable. They have a very wide variety of ribbon. They carry several types of wired edge ribbon (none of the above sites carry wired ribbon). It is very easy to make bows with wired ribbon. They offer a great variety of tulle fabric, floral mesh and personalized ribbon.

Note: These cardstock boxes are not usually very stable; they are pretty light. To stabilize the box, you may need to add weight to the bottom of the box. For example, you can put some clean rocks or sand in a Zip-lock bag and put it in the bottom of the box.

1) Thrift stores or 99 Cent Stores – here you can buy a lot of things cheap: baskets, mugs, cups, wire, etc.

2) Cost Plus World Market – they have a wide variety of glasses, vases, and baskets, as well as gourmet chocolate for reasonable prices.

3) IKEA – if you have this store close by, you will find variety of glass vases, glasses and brandy snifters for a couple of dollars.

4) Craft stores like Michaels and Joann. You can buy themed or seasonal ribbon, containers, and others related items at discounted prices when you purchase them after the holidays (you can happily use them next year for the holiday).

5) Floral Syndicate Supply http://www.fss.com – you can find many great things here for a very good price. Here are some of them: They work with businesses. They accept state, local and federal tax id numbers. Shipping orders have a $50 minimum.

Buying cello squares is a little bit more expensive but it is convenient. The decision to buy roll or cut cello depends on whether you are more interested in convenience or price.
