ABSTRACT

In the last few years , the pollution problems & increase of the cost of fossil energy (oil, gas) have became planetary problems.

The Hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) has become one of the most promising vehicles in the automobile industry due to its energy saving ability and low emission of harmful pollutants.

It consists of high power density batteries (lead acid)with a rated voltage of 540v ,two motors each one coupled with one alternator.

The main objective of this paper is to study the management of the energy provides by two super capacitor packs. Each super capacitors module is made of 108 cells with a maximum voltage of 270V.

The multi boost and multi full bridge converter topologies are tested todefine the best topology for the embarked power management.

This method achieve good power management strategy by using the multi boost and multi fu bridge converter topologies.

Hybrid vehicle:An hybrid vehicle is also called as an electric

drive vehicle.Uses one or more electric motors for

propulsion.Generally the power generates through fossil

fuels and renewable sources.The advantage of hybrid vehicle is

regenerative breaking.

SUPER CAPACITORS:

super capacitors also called ultra capacitors and electric double layer capacitor.

Super capacitors are based on a carbon (nano tube) technology .

the most important advantage of super capacitors over the batteries is ability to charge and discharge continuously without degrading.

Multi Full Bridge Converter:

the conversion of AC input to the DC output is called as bridge rectifier.

the conversion of DC input to AC output is called as inverter.

A process that changes one DC voltages to a different DC voltage is called DC to DC conversion.

A boost converter is a DC to DC converter with an output voltage greater than the source voltage.
