Africa Oasis Golf Classic - Thursday, August 3 at Talons of Tuscany in Ankeny. To register & find more info go to www.africagolfclassic.com. Proceeds go to Speed the Light Africa Oasis Project.

STL State Fair Fundraiser: August 10-20 - We serve breakfast at the Cattlemen’s Beef Quarters every morning of the fair (5:15 - 10:00 a.m.) to raise money for Speed The Light. You receive free admission and free breakfast. Student volunteers must be no younger than 12. All 12 and 13-year-olds must have a parent working during the same shift. Sign up online or at the Events Center.

New Hope Golf Outing - Join us for a fun day of golf on Sunday, September 3 at 2:00 p.m. at Woodland Hills Golf Course. Cost is $45/golfer. Deadline is Sunday, August 20. Registration forms available at the Events Center.

A New Christmas Carol Auditions, Sunday, August 6, 3:00 p.m. in the SC Auditorium. Scripts are available at the Events Center. You may take one home before auditions. We have speaking roles for 8 men, 8 women, 3 teens, 4 children, and non-speaking roles for all ages! If you’re interested in helping in any way, please sign up online or at the Events Center.

Monday Fun Days for NH Kids and NH Tots will be at Union Park, 725 Thompson Ave., Des Moines, tomorrow, July 24 at 10:30 a.m. There is also a splash pad so wear your swim suit. Pack a lunch if you’d like to stay and eat together.

Ladies’ Bible Study - Monday at 1:00 p.m. in New Hope Java. Our topic is, Becoming a Woman Whose God is Enough. Please join us.

Tuesday Morning Prayer & Share will not meet during the month of July. We will resume August 1.

Celebrate Recovery - Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. in the Student Campus. Nursery available for babies - age 4. Celebration Station for Kindergarten - 5th grade will not meet for the remainder of the summer; we will resume in the fall. Questions? Contact Di Jaehnel.

Men’s Bible Discussion Group - Thursday at 7:30 a.m. in New Hope Java.

Ladies’ Friday Morning Bible Study meets in room 212 at 9:45 a.m. Our study is Beth Moore’s Stepping Up: A Journey Through the Psalms of Ascent, facilitated by Jo Northway.

Today is Food Pantry Sunday. Remember our friends & neighbors in need and bless them with your donation of non-perishable food and personal care items.

If you are new to the church and haven’t had an opportunity to get acquainted with Pastor Weaver, you are invited to join him on the west end of the foyer during Sunday School for an informal time of refreshments and sharing.

Everyone is invited to the All Church BBQ today following the 10:30 a.m. service. We will meet in the Student Campus Auditorium and Fellowship Hall for food, games, and inflatables. We will have BBQ pork sandwiches, all-beef hot dogs, and sides. Shaved Ice will be available to purchase for $1. We hope you can join us!

College-Age Ministry will meet in the main sanctuary tonight at 6:00 to join in the evening of worship and prayer.

Please join us for a Farewell Cake Reception for Pastor Mandee and Jeremy next Sunday night, July 30, in the Student Campus Auditorium following the evening service. They will be sharing during the service. We love and appreciate the Hamanns more than words can say.

The deadline for bulletin announcements for the July 30 bulletin is noon on Wednesday, July 26.

Dishes and kitchen items that have been left at the church are on a table in the back hallway of the main building. Please stop by and pick up any items that belong to you. Items not picked up by July 31 will be donated.

We are hosting a donation drive for Hope Ministries. On August 6 & 13 we will be collecting Toothpaste, Toilet Paper, Paper Towels, Men’s Deodorant,

There will be a Sunday school staff meeting for all kindergarten-fifth grade teachers, helpers, and substitutes on Wednesday, August 9 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. in New Hope Java.

Book Buddies are doing something different this time. We are giving you a choice of two different books: Entwined by Brenda Hamilton and Shelly Thompson, only available at Notebookcafe.com; or Ebb Tide by Beverly Lewis. Read which ever one you choose or read both if you want. We will discuss both books at our meeting Monday, August 14, 6:30-7:30 p.m. in New Hope Java. Questions? Contact Lindalee Lovelace.

Women’s Ministries Event - Thursday, August 17, arrive at the Student Campus at 9:15 a.m. for a catered cruise down the Iowa River on the Scenic City Empress Riverboat in Iowa Falls. Approximate return time is 4:00 p.m. The lunch cruise meal includes chicken salad on croissant, pasta salad, and red velvet cake. A gluten-free option is available upon request. Seasoned Saints Branson Trip - November 7 - 10, 2017. Trip includes three breakfasts and three suppers. Lunches and meals while traveling are on your own. We will be staying at the Grand Plaza Hotel and will attend the following shows: Dutton Family, Hughes Brothers, SIX, The Lettermen, Amazing Acrobats of Shanghai. Total cost is $415/person based on double occupancy (add $140 for single occupancy). To register, please give a deposit of $215/person to Pastor Weaver. Make your check out to New Hope.
