Lead Lead Renovation, Repair and Painting $299

New EPA training requirements are now in place for certified renovators! The new Environmental Protection Agency rules apply to contractors who renovate or repair housing, childcare facilities or schools built before 1978. Under the new rules, trained contractors and workers must follow lead-safe work practice standards to reduce potential exposure to dangerous levels of lead during renovation and repair activities. The requirements apply to anyone who could potentially expose children to lead dust during their work and includes builders, painters, plumbers and electricians. In April 2010, this certification became MANDATORY for anyone who could potentially expose children to lead dust. TTC has partnered with Greenville Technical College to offer the training. Asbestos O and M Worker $299Maintenance personnel involved with repair and

maintenance activities that may disturb asbestos containing or building materials that are presumed to contain asbestos during their normal work activities are encouraged to take this course. This meets all requirements for SCDHEC licensing and EPA AHERA/ASHARA accreditation for work in schools K-12. This course also satisfies the requirements for the OSHA Class III worker and OSHA Competent Person training. Participants will conduct hands-on asbestos glove bag removal exercises and be limited to the amount of disturbance that can be contained in a 60” x 60” waste or glove bag. The student is required to perform hands-on training and successfully complete a multiple choice exam with a score of 70 or greater. Materials included.
