Dear Westside Families,
Cancer affects so many. That is why the Westside student council has chosen to support the American Cancer Society. PLEASE join our team “Westside” on Saturday, May 12th as staff and students walk/run the Sole Burner. The morning is filled with many activities for kids including a Fun Run (1K or 1 mile), plus many kid activities such as creating wood projects from Home Depot, face painting, riding the train, dancing, and more! Please check out the Sole Burner website (SoleBurner.org) for loads of details. Cost for the Kids Run is $15.00 per child and the cool thing is $10.00 of this will go right to pediatric cancer! The Kids Run starts at 8:15am. Students will need to be accompanied by an adult for this event. Parents are also encouraged to run or walk this grand event as we make a difference. After the Kids Run is the 5K Walk/Run....kids may participate in this at no extra cost with their family. This race is chipped timed! Please check out the Sole Burner website for more details on this race also!
