Walk-In Registration Walk-In Registration takes place at the Upper Valley Campus between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m., Monday-Thursday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Fridays.

Refund Information Checks will be returned and no credit card charges will be made if requested trips are already closed. Full refunds will be issued if a trip is canceled by the college. Refunds are granted only if the trip is filled and the reservation can be resold by the Community Education Office. If a refund is made, the college retains a $5 processing fee per person. A more substantial, non-refundable deposit may be requested on longer trips. Refer to each travel event for details or call us at (707) 967-2901 for more information. Refunds will be mailed to

the student whose name appears on the enrollment receipt regardless of who paid the fees.

Many trips are open to children as young as 5 years of age. Participants under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.

Stockton Asparagus Festival

The Stockton Asparagus Festival is a three-day, multi-event,

food, and entertainment festival, which celebrates asparagus.

The festival features two performing stages, an Asparagus

Alley with the best deep fried asparagus found anywhere, one

of the finest celebrity chef cooking demonstration kitchens, a

fabulous Spear-Its of the Valley wine and beer pavilion, a craft

show, 600 booths, displays and exhibits in the show.

Stockton’s waterfront and several city blocks will be the home

for the festival.

Sunset will open its doors for the 14th annual Celebration

Weekend. Sunset fans will tour the gardens and test kitchen;

mingle with the magazine’s writers and editors; attend how-to

seminars on home, travel, food, and gardens; create projects

straight from the Magazine; and enjoy fine food, wine,

microbrew tastings, shopping and more!

Country Roads of Tuscany

& Umbria

Coming in 2012!

Travel with just 24 passengers on this Explorations tour.

We’ll visit another side of Italy. Ex-

plore Tuscany and Umbria’s smaller,

more authentic towns. Journey to

Florence, the “Cradle of the Italian Re-

naissance.” Visit a family owned win-

ery for a tasting. Stop in Cortona, the

Etruscan town made famous in the

film "Under the Tuscan Sun." Travel to

Assisi and see the Basilica of St. Fran-

cis. All along the way savor regional

specialties and enjoy Italian wines with every dinner.

Spend 4 nights in a palace in the pristine Umbrian

town of Trevi. Another amazing 4-night stay in the UNA

Palazzo Mannaioni, a restored palace which dates to the

1500’s and sits within the village walls of Montaione. This

elegant hotel, once home to a wealthy family, provides the

perfect oasis from which to live and breathe Tuscany.

Participate in a cooking class in Umbria in a 16th cen-

tury farmhouse and learn to make some of the region’s

most delicious recipes. Learn the secrets of Tuscan cui-

guided walking tour of the quaint Umbrian town of Nor-

cia. Travel to Volterra and visit one of the most famous

Angel Island State Park

Angel Island played a major role in the settlement of the West

and as an US Immigration Station. Trails and roads crisscross

the island, providing easy access to historic sites and

breathtaking views of San Francisco, Marin County and

the Golden Gate Bridge.

Our trip today will take us to the quaint town of Tiburon where

we will board the Angel Island Ferry for a short 10 minute trip

to the island. We are scheduled for a one and a half hour

narrated tram tour with plenty of great photo opportunities.

Our tour will include a 15 minute stop at the Immigration

Station as we step back in history and learn of the immigrants

who passed through this famous facility. Once we arrive back

at Ayala Cove, lunch will be served on the Harbor Deck as we

take in the stunning views. The Mt. Tam Menu consists of

Sourdough Ciabatta Turkey Sandwiches, Perles Beach Potato

Salad, Seasonal Fruit Selections and Oatmeal Raisin Cookies.

After lunch there will be plenty of time to relax and enjoy the

visitor’s center before we catch the ferry back to the mainland.

USS Potomac—F.D.R.’s Floating White House

Welcome aboard the ―Floating White House‖ - Franklin Delano

Roosevelt’s Presidential Yacht. This 165-foot-long vessel is

operated as a memorial to F.D.R. who led the United States

during the Great Depression and the World War II years. Join

us aboard this National Historic Landmark for a delightful day

on the San Francisco Bay.

Our ―cruise‖ will leave from Oakland’s waterfront jewel, Jack

London Square. The tour will start with a 15-minute video in

the Visitor Center before we board the USS Potomac for the

two-hour narrated cruise. Emphasis will be placed on the

effect FDR had on the Bay Area as we enjoy the beauty of the

bay and surrounding landmarks. Upon our return to Jack

London Square, you are free to discover the endless

opportunities that are offered here. Enjoy expansive lawns,

picturesque piers and sun-drenched walking paths. There is

abundant shopping at the square that include some of

Oakland’s best unique shops and local boutiques. You are

Spectacular Roman ruins overlooking the Mediterranean

… posh resorts on legendary healing waters… swaying

palms and sites sacred to billions of people around the

world… this can only be Israel. Explore the caves where

the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered and the former pa-

latial fortress of Masada. Visit the ruins of Jericho and

October. The apple growers invite the public to experience

their ranches during this magical time of year and to enjoy

High Hill Ranch before our loop tour of the area begins. Our

tour guide will accompany us as we sightsee around Apple
