SWIM POLICY Campers swim daily (except on field trip days). Campers must bring the proper swimming wear and a labeled towel. Campers must wear secure and active swim attire (non-cotton). Campers will be swim-tested at the beginning of every week, on
Mondays, before they are permitted to swim. Campers may only test once per week.
Campers who PASS the swim test will be given a GREEN swim band. Children must keep the band on all week.
Campers who DO NOT meet the swim test requirements will be given a RED swim band and will only be allowed to participate in water activities in the designated splash park area. Children must keep the band on all week.
The general swimming rules will be announced before each swimming period.
Counselors are required to swim with the campers.
WE RECOMMEND THAT CAMPERS ARRIVE AT CAMP IN
THEIR SWIM ATTIRE AND BRING EXTRA CLOTHES TO CHANGE
INTO AFTER. This helps the changing process and saves time so that they will not
have to change twice.
LEADERS IN TRAINING Recognizing that teens can get more out of summer
camp, our Leader in Training (LIT) program is centered on building skills for teens entering grades 8th-10th
in the Fall of 2019. Teens will have the opportunity to
get their Babysitting, First Aid, and/or CPR certifications. This program provides our campers with
the chance to learn real interpersonal skills that will serve them well for the rest of their lives such as
problem solving, effective communication skills,
interviewing skills, leadership and teamwork. In addition to the skills learned, LITs participate in
traditional camp activities including swimming, field
trips, and more. This is the perfect program for teens that have the desire to become future camp
counselors and leaders.
Session 1: June 3-21 (Babysitting and First Aid Certification)
Session 2: July 8-26 (CPR Certification)
Members: $390/session
Non-Members: $495/session
