Eligibility Requirements

Students must have a 2.5 GPA at the time of application & departure (see FAQ on website for details)

Only VM2s and VM3s are eligible to apply for the South Africa course due to the pharmacology component

All students must complete a pre-departure course in the spring in addition to the ~ 2 weeks abroad

In order to receive the $1000 scholarship in Fall 2012 (tuition-paying) students must present on their trip in some capacity, i.e. to pre-vet club, ZEW club, local community gathering, class, etc.

Tuition & Scholarship policies

Residents and non-residents will pay the same amount of tuition for 3 summer elective credits

If non-resident students choose to take more than one study abroad course they will pay non-resident tuition for those credits

Students in rotations (VM4s) do not pay any additional tuition for study abroad courses and do not receive a scholarship

Students who have successfully completed their study abroad course and given a short presentation on their trip will receive a $1000 scholarship from the college in Fall 2012

The scholarship can be received in consecutive years but will only be given to each tuition-paying student once per year

All program costs are listed on the website with cost breakdowns

All costs are estimates based on current currency conversion rates, airline prices, and prior year costs

Financial aid is given based on cost estimates and tuition rates

For the majority of students, financial aid covers all program fees, tuition, and incidentals
