Purpose of paper For Decision
Summary
AZO Digital is marketing new equipment that is similar to electronic ballasts with either pre-programmed and/or remote dimming capability. The new equipment has a new approach to the control of the lamp and dimming. Tony Gibson and Andrew Findlay of AZO Digital have prepared a short presentation to explain how this new equipment will operate. Additionally, AZO Digital intends to apply for Charge Codes with one level of dimming as an interim approach.
1 What Decisions are we seeking from you?
1.1 The UMSUG is invited to:
• Note the AZO Digital presentation; • Consider any issues raised regarding the new equipment; and • Recommend to SVG on an appropriate approach and for ELEXON update the OID to
incorporate this.
2 Why are we asking this?
2.1 The AZO Digital equipment may differ in its approach and operation to equipment previously seen. It is important for the UMSUG to understand such differences and then agreed an approach for the coding for such products.
