Many trainers follow the wisdom of the late Vince Gironda, the prototypical coach of Hollywoodbadasses. Gironda figured that if you gain an inch on your shoulders and lose an inch off your waist, youlook as good as if youd gained 2 inches on your shoulders or lost 2inches off your waist.
Sticking to trainer Mark Twights three principles (above) can lighten you by a pound a day, and youdbuild muscle. When one of the actors in 300picked up his wife at the airport after a month of training,she didnt recognize him. That is what happens when you stick to the plan. But if you decide to party allweekend, you start again from scratch.
It's a circle: To train this hard, you have to sleep. If you dont sleep enough, you wont train hardenough. Insufficient sleep often leads to poor food choices and more calories. Its not a single item thatmakes the difference; its the discipline to sleep, restrict your calorie intake, and train. You need allthree if you want to look like asuperhero.

Building 300level abs isnt complicated. But dont mistake simple for easy. Stapleton started MarkTwights workout with a fiveminute warmup, then rowed 500 meters as fast as he could (on a machine).Next, he did the five exercises below.
