SC 17 Report Summer 2014

• High activity level on documents– 16 of 27 documents being worked on– 6 new TR

• Appointed liaisons with Materials group, International Standards, Industry Standardization• 17A RP -Design &Operation of Subsea Production Systems- General requirements and Recommendations

– Will remove annex A and annex I. Material will go into TR – Annex G is covered in 17P; will delete

• 17E -Subsea Umbilicals– Will add Medium Voltage Cable (MV). Currently only includes Low Voltage (LV)

• 17F – Subsea Production Control Systems– Will remove chemical injection systems out of the document and turn it into new document TR/RP to be defined

• 17N –Subsea Reliability– Removing references to 17Q (Subsea Quality)– After completion, will address is 17Q is maintained or removed

• 17S –Subsea Multiphase Flow Meters– Under development– Will submit as Standard instead of RP

• 17W –Subsea Capping Stacks– Passed ballot. API currently editing for publishing

• Composite Thermoplastic Pipe– Motion passed for RP– Concern of limited suppliers (currently 2)– Currently referenced under 17G1
