The Christian Church of Midland Exists to Make More and Better Disciples
We have had a great start to 2016. God is blessing your efforts and answering your prayers. You are
inviting people to services, Bible Studies, and other activities. Thank you and keep it up.
This month we will start three new adult Bible Studies that will take place on Sunday Mornings. A
Study on the Old Testament character of Joseph will take place in the “Parlor” which is located in the Edu-
cation Wing. This Study will be led by two elders Cary Richmond and Dean Soderstrom. There will also
be a three week study on the Spiritual Discipline of Prayer that will be held in the sanctuary. Jim O’Banion
and I will lead that Study. Then starting on Sunday Morning, February 28, Jim and I will begin a Study on
“The Passions Events of the Easter Story.” These are great opportunities for you to invite a friend to join
you as we study together.
This month we will also have a Couples Seminar on Friday, February 19 and Saturday, February 20.
We will learn to communicate better by developing the Spiritual Discipline of prayer. This seminar is de-
signed for couples who are dating, newly married, or have been married for 50 years. I am excited about
this seminar. It will help couples and the Kingdom.
Great Job with the work day in January.
March will be exciting as we prepare for Easter.
Sunday March 13th the Dallas Christian College Choir will be with us during Sunday Morning Service.
More details will follow.
Good Friday Prayer Walk on March 25.
Easter Sunrise Service.
Special Easter Service.
I am glad that God called Lisa and me to Midland to work with you. I will see you this Sunday and re-
member, invite a friend.
Blessing,

Christians are strange people. They do some peculiar
things. They are just different. Why are “they” like that?
Some of the things they do is not normal, but what they do
makes me think. Bring a guest as we explore: Why we,
love our Enemies, Forgive One Another, Believe the Bible,
and other topics that are strange in the eyes of the world.
