CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE STUDY TOOLS DIRECTIONS: Use the CONSTITUTION STUDY GUIDE & your talents to display understanding. Select 1 STUDY TOOL & Apply YOUR Knowledge from our lessons. You must use ALL 28 items from the STUDY GUIDE.

DETECTIVES closely examine historical facts and put them together in many forms. They work with charts to present information clearly and logically. They enjoy answering questions and finding details.

ARTISTS use pictures, photos, music, etc to learn from the past. They produce art in multiple forms to present information to others in unique ways. They enjoy creating work that shows off their skill and talent.

PROFILERS are mostly interested in people and how they think. They like to imagine themselves in historical situations and write about how they would have reacted. They usually present their information through short writings.

1. GO FISH Create a deck of cards based on the STUDY GUIDE:

• Write the items from the study guide on one set of cards

• Record responses & definitions on another set

Materials Needed: index cards

4. iTUNES LIBRARY Make pop culture connections to songs for EACH item on the STUDY GUIDE. Provide the song title, artist, & 1 summary statement explaining the connection. Must be typed. Materials: computer with internet access, printer, paper

7. Ol' Skool Flash Cards These are your grandma's flash cards. Materials: Index Cards

2. MAKE IT STICK! Create an Interactive Online Quiz based on the STUDY GUIDE. Go to the blog. On the right sidebar under STUDY TOOLS click on QUIZREVOLUTION. See teacher for password. Materials: computer with internet access

5. PICTURE IT! -use color Sometimes it helps to "see" a word by assigning an action to it. When you have trouble defining a key term, imagine what it's doing. For example, when you have to define "habeas corpus," picture a defendant in a courtroom. 28 items = 28 pictures Materials: index cards & colored pencils

8. FLASH CARDS 2.0 Go to the blog's right sidebar & under STUDY TOOLS click "Flash Card Maker." Don't forget to print and cut out the cards. Materials: Printer & Paper, computer with internet access

3. BLOGWARTS Create a blog post that includes each item on the STUDY GUIDE. Post a comment on the class blog with a link to your blog or email the word doc to the teacher. OR…Write at least 10 comments or stickies on the blog summarizing, making connections, posting links, or asking questions -must address each item on the study guide. Materials: computer with internet

6. ZOOBURST Create a digital 3D pop up book using EACH item from the STUDY GUIDE. Click "Zooburst" under STUDY TOOLS on the right side bar of the class blog. See teacher for password Materials: computer with access to internet

9. AN APP FOR THAT Have a mobile device with educational apps like a flashcard maker, doodle buddy, dragon dictation, etc.? Use an app with a record, podcast, photo, or print feature. Post the embed code for the vid or podcast on the blog OR use a print option OR email the photo/vid/podcast to teacher.
