“Lily” Studio Pitch Genre Horror Time Period Contemporary Budget Low to Medium Demographic Focus Young adults of both genders aged 15-30 Logline Lily a 15 year old girl is a demonic character in a house which the Akira family has recently moved in to, she haunts the house and brings their youngest child who is also aged 15, Felicity, nightmares – and gradually possesses her. Pitch ‘Lily’ is a modern styled Horror Thriller film which explores the paranormal events which spirits can bring. The film takes aspects from traditional horror films such as ‘Paranormal Activity’ and ‘Insidious’ but introduces original ideas by including the story behind the character of Lily. I have chosen to incorporate the same event as the film ‘Insidious’ as the child gets possessed but - I have chosen to make the theme of my film supernatural as I believe there are few films which feature original ideas in the horror genre, which is why I decided to only take inspiration from original horror films and incorporate mostly my own ideas. My target audience is mostly a late-teen audience with a primary focus on males and females of ages 15 to 25 (reflected in the characters). A secondary audience of adults would also enjoy the film, as it will be mature horror rather than a typical predictable horror film. The cast of the film will be mostly non- professional but Nicola Peltz (from Transformers) could play Lily, as she has a distinctive look which could suit her character.

LoglineLily a 15 year old girl is a demonic character in a house which the Akira family has recently moved in to, she haunts the house and brings their youngest child who is also aged 15, Felicity, nightmares – and gradually possesses her.

Pitch‘Lily’ is a modern styled Horror Thriller film which explores the paranormal events which spirits can bring.

The cast of the film will be mostly non-professional but Nicola Peltz (from Transformers) could play Lily, as she has a distinctive look which could suit her character.

A delusional young girl who faced a life of abuse from her parents dies in the house of which her demonic soul remains, once the house goes back into the housing market thirty years later the Akira family show an interest. Josephine Akira and Benjamin Akira lived in Chelsea, but when their child Felicity started secondary school they decided to relocate to the country side – which brought them to House 66, Hanging Hill Lane in the deserted village of Brockhurst. After three months living there the Akira family experience Lily’s rebellious behaviour against them living in her house, causing them pain and torture without revealing herself. In the penultimate scenes of the film, the child has to have an exorcism as Lily possesses the child’s soul and turns her against her family. The story behind Lily’s death is soon revealed as she expresses her abusive upbringing to the Priest in the exorcism. Felicity is set free and Lily’s spirit is killed.
