1. SCORING SETUP

1.1 EXAMINATION STATUS Examination Status task is used to setup status for examination result.

How To AccessExamination Status Screen

1. From Main Screen, click Examination Menu. List of submenu for the Examination

Module will be displayed on left screen.

2. Click Admin Submenu. List of tasks for the Admin Submenu will be displayed.

3. Click Subject grading Classification. Display Examination Grading Classification will be

displayed on the working area shown in Figure 1.1a

From Display Examination Status Screen, you will be able to;

Add Examination Status

Edit Examination Status

Delete Examination Status

Add Examination Status

1. Click New Status button. Add Examination Status Screen will be displayed as shown in

Figure 1.1b.

2. Fill in all the required fields.

3. ClickSave button. The information have been entered will be stored. Display

Examination Status Screen will be displayed. The new information is appeared in the

list.

Edit Examination Status

1. ClickEdit function on a particularexamination record. The examination status

information will be displayed on the Edit Examination Status Screen as shown in figure

1.1c.

2. Make amendment to the information.

3. ClickUpdate button. The amendment information that has been made will be updated.

Display Examination Status Screen will be displayed. The amended information is

appeared in the list.

Delete Examination Status

1. Click Deletefunction on a particularexamination record. Confirmation Message dialog

box is appeared as shown in figure 1.1d.

2. Click OK button. The system will change status of the record from active to inactive.

1.2 EXAMINATION GRADING Examination Grading task is used to setup the grade score result.

the working area shown in Figure 1.2a

1. Click New Grading button. Add Examination Grading Screen will be displayed as shown

Edit Examination Grading

1. ClickEditfunction on a particularexamination record. The examination grading

1. Click New Honorsbutton. Add Honors Classification Screen will be displayed as shown in

3. Click Save button. The honors classification have been entered will be stored. Display

Honor Classification Screen (Figure 1.3a) will be displayed. The new information is

1. Click Delete function on a particular record. Confirmation Message dialog box will

displayed as shown in figure 1.3d.


2. Click OK button. The system will be changed status of the record from active to inactive

1.8 SUBJECT DELIVERY CLASSIFICATION- 1. From Main Screen, click Examination Menu. List of submenu for the Examination



3. Click Subject Delivery Classification. Display Subject Delivery Classification Screen will be

displayed on the working area shown in Figure 1.8a

5. Click Save button. The information have been entered will be stored. The new

information is appeared in the list.

7. Click Update button. Shown in Figure 1.8b

1.9 SUBJECT SPECIALISTS – Subject Specialists means Lecturers who mark the Final exam papers.




3. Click Subject Specialists. Display Subject Specialists Screen will be displayed on the

4 Select the subject.

5 Select Subject Specialist

6 Click Save button. The information have been entered will be stored. The new

information is appeared in the list. Shown in figure 1.9b

To Edit Subject Specialists

Make amendment to the information.

7. To edit the existing subject specialist, you can inactivate the existing one by clicking on

Active status shown in figure 1.9c

8. After Inactivate the existing subject specialist, you can add one more specialist.

More than one subject specialist is possible.




1.10 FACULTY SUBJECTS – Faculty subjects means adding subject to existing faculty and school.

2. SCORING

2.1 ASSIGNMENT SCORE ENTRY Score Entry task is used by lecturer to the entry of the assignment score.

How To Access Score Entry Screen



2. Click Lecturer Submenu. List of tasks for the Lecturer Submenu will be displayed.

3. Click Score Entry task. Search Score Entry Screen will be displayed on the working area as

4. Select academic term from drop down menu on the academic term field.

5. Click Search button. List of Class Score are taught by lecturer will be displayed as shown

in figure 2.1b.

From List of Score Entry Screen (Figure 2.1b), you will be able to;

Score Entry – enter student mark for the assignment

Score Approval – when finished entering student marks for the all assignment to a

subject, the information will be submitto the responsible party for approval.

Prints Student List – produce report list of student for a particular class.

Score Entry

1. Click Score Entry function on a particular class record. Search Student Score Entry

Screen will be display as shown in figure 2.1c.

2. Select Assessment Group and Assessment Type from drop down menu. List of Student

under class code selected will be displayed as shown in figure 2.1d.

3. Enter score for the students.

4. Once completed, click Save Score button. Student score entered will be updated.

5. Click Back button. Search Score Entry Screen (figure 2.1a) will be displayed.

Score Approval

1. Click Score Approval function on a particular class record. List of Student with all

assignment mark for the class selected will be displayed as shown in figure 2.1e.

2. Fill in remark information.

3. Click Request Approval button. The student mark will be submitted for approval.

Remark information will be appeared in the ‘Section III: Score approval history’. Request

Approval button will be dimmed.

4. Click Back button. List of Class Score (figure 2.1b) will be displayed. Class code and Score

Entry function for the class selected will be dimmed. Lecturer is not allowed to enter

student mark for the class.

Print Student List

1. Click PrintStudentList function on a particular class record. List of Student in the class

selected will be displayed as shown in figure 2.1g. Then follow by print dialog box will be

displayed as shown in figure 2.1h.

2. Click Print button. Printer will be printing the report.

2.2 EXAMINERS SCORE ENTRY Exam Score Entry task is used by examiner to enter mid exam and final exam score.

2. Click Lecturer Submenu. List of tasks for the Lecturer Submenu will be displayed.

3. Click ExaminerScoreEntry task. Search Exam Score Entry Screen will be displayed on the

working area as shown in Figure 2.2a

4. Select academic term and exam type from drop down menu on the respective field.

5. Click Search button. List of Exam Group for the examiner will be appeared as shown in

figure 2.2b.

To Score Entry

1. Click ScoreEntry function on a particular exam group record. Search Student Score Entry

Screen will be displayed as shown in figure 2.2c.

2. Select assessment group and assessment type from drop down menu on a respective

field. List of Student Score will be appeared as shown in figure 2.2d.

3. Enter student exam score.

4. Click Save Score button. Notification Message dialog box will be displayed as shown in

figure 2.2e.

5. Click Back button. Search Exam Score Entry Screen (figure 2.2a) will be displayed.

2.3 SCORE ENTRY BY ADMIN 2.3.1 SCORE ENTRY BY ADMIN FOR ACTIVE STUDENTS

Score Entry By Admin task is used by the administration for the entry of student score.

Before the approval, the entry of student score is made by lecturers. Once results submitted

for approval, lecturer may not be able to enter student score. If necessary entry student

score, the administration can make the entry student score through this task.

This task is performed for Active students only.

How To Access Score Entry By Admin Screen




3. Click Student Score Adjustment task. Search Student Score Adjustment Screen will be

displayed on the working area as shown in Figure 2.3a

Enter Student Score

1. Select academic term from drop down menu on the academic term field.

2. Check either Student Id or IC/Passport Number and enter search information based on

checked.

3. Click Go button. Student name and program will be appeared in the screen.

4. Select subject from drop down menu on the subjects field. List of assignment and

examination mark for the subject will be appeared as shown in figure 2.3b.

5. Enter the student score.

6. Click Update button. Notification Message dialog box will be displayed as shown in

figure 2.3c.

10. Click OK button. The student marks have been entered will be updated.

2.3.1 SCORE ENTRY BY ADMIN FOR ALL STUDENTS

1. From Main Screen, click Examination Menu. List of submenu for the Examination Module

will be displayed on left screen.


3. Click Student Marks Update task. Search Student Marks Update Screen will be displayed

on the working area as shown in Figure 2.3d

4. Enter the IC number and then click on Go button shown in figure 2.3f

5. Select the program and select Academic Term to which intake you want to key in marks.

6. After selecting Academic term , that intake subject will display for that student.select the

subject you want to key in marks shown in figure 2.3g

7. Click Update button. Notification Message dialog box will be displayed as shown in

figure 2.3h.

8. Click OK button. The student marks have been entered will be updated

3. APPROVAL RESULT

3.1 APPROVE SCORING Approve Scoring task is used to give approval on the student scores who have entered and

submitted by the lecturer.

How To Access Approve Score Screen




3. Click Approve Score task. Display Approve Score Screen will be displayed on the working

area shown in Figure 3.1a

4. Select lecturer and academic term from drop down menu.

5. Click Search button. List of classes conducted by lecturer on an intake will be appeared

as shown in figure 3.1b.

6. Click View Detail button. Scores of Students in a Class will be appeared as shown in

figure 3.1c.

From Score of Students in a Class (figure 3.1c), you will be able to;

Approve Student Score

Reject Student Score

To Approve Student Score

1. Fill in Remark field.

2. Click Approve Result button. Approved Notification Message dialog box will be displayed

as shown in figure 3.1d.

3. Click OK button. The student score for the subject will be approved. Information in the

Remark field will be appeared in the history. Approve Result button and Reject Result

button will be dimmed.

4. Click Back button. Display Approve Score Screen (figure 3.1a) will be displayed

To Reject Student Score

1. Fill in Remark field.

2. Click RejectResult button. Rejected Notification Message dialog box will be displayed as

shown in figure 3.1e.

3. Click OK button. The student score for the subject will be rejected. Information in the

Remark field will be appeared in the history. Approve Result button and Reject Result

button will be dimmed.

4. Click Back button. Display Approve Score Screen (figure 3.1a) will be displayed.

Note: When rejection occurs, the lecturer of the class can review and correction marks.

Then, it can resubmit for approval.

4.1 SCORING PROGRESS Scoring Progress task is used to check the approval status of the student scores.
