    Serbia is located in the central partof the Balkan Peninsula, on themost important route linkingEurope and Asia.

    Serbia is in the West European timezone (one hour ahead ofGreenwich time) to the East Serbiaborders with Bulgaria, to theNorth-East with Romania, to theNorth with Hungary, to the Westwith Croatia and Bosnia andHerzegovina, to the South-Westwith Montenegro and to the Southwith Albania and Macedonia.

    Climate is temperate continental with

    gradual transition between the fourseasons of the year. Averagetemperature during the summer isaround 28C

    Capital of Serbia is Belgrade,administrative, economic and culturalcentre of the Republic. Other largecities with Universities, large industryand specific identity are Novi Sad, Niand Kragujevac.

    The official language in Serbia is Serbianand the script in official use is Cyrillic,while Latin script is also used. Currency is Serbian dinar, 1 = 105dinars

    NAPSer is National Association ofPharmacy Students Serbia and itrepresents over 2000 pharmacystudents in Serbia.

    There are three local organizationsin NAPSer: BPSA (BelgradePharmacy Student`s Association)in Belgrade,

    PSANS (Pharmaceutical StudentsAssociation of Novi Sad) in NoviSad and

    NiPSA (Nis Pharmacy StudentsAssociation) in Ni.

    All these organizations areinvolved in SEP so you can choose

    between these three cities. Here issome information that you need toknow

    Community , hospital and clinical pharmacy, research at theFaculty of Pharmacy- Community pharmacy: Apotekarska ustanova Beograd (chainof government pharmacies in Belgrade)- Clinical and hospital pharmacy: Clinical center BezanijskaKosa, Clinical center of Serbia- University research: Pharmacology, Pharmacognosy,Toxicology, Bromatology, Microbiology*note: research is not available between 1stJuly and 1st October due to summer holiday

    Accommodation in student dorms or with a family. For somestudents accommodation in student dorm is free while othershave to pay for it. Staying with a family of pharmacy student isfree of charge but these type of accommodation is not alwaysavailable.

    Accommodation is with a family (free) and in a rented apartment

    During July and August, Serbian SEP Committee will organize visitsto Belgrade, Novi Sad and Ni for all students attending SEP inSerbia. That way you can experience wonderful Serbia with yourfellows!!!
