    1. Delta sequence

  • 2. Differential Compaction

    Yellow/Orange line shows the area that has undergone differential compaction. The BCU is normally a very hard surface and therefore fits into the model. Note that the thicknesses on the flanks are larger than above the domelike structure in the pre-rift section. Also note that the effect of differential compaction gradually dies out upwards indicated by the black lines.
