March 2010 March 2010
Hello All! March was amazing! Maybe we had fewer things going on- but they were BIG and SIGNIFICANT events! Check them out! Well when we went to CityLife Garden Party last month, we presented our handmade cards to Shana Khongmun from Chiang Mai Mail- the oldest English newspaper of Chiang Mai!
And SUREPRISE- on Monday the 8th there is
an article about us!
We are FAMOUS! Thanks to Shana Khongmun and Chiang Mai Mail- you guys made our day!
Friday the 12th- Today there was no school so
I went to visit the two schools in our Strong Will Seed Project- just me and Arunee Ng, who volunteered to go and help taking pictures and videos! So, much thanks to her! This visit is different, because we went and played games with the students instead of just talking to them!
We watch a short clip I made for SityLife Garden Party. You can watch it too! Click here!
My audience included a monk!
AND THEN PLAYED GAMES!
The game is called: Who said numbers are BORING? The rule is: Everyone sits in a circle and then first person starts counting from one. But instead of counting numbers 3,6 and 9, the person must clap instead of counting the number. Who ever forgets to do so is OUT! And that circle will have to start counting from one again. The circle which can count to the largest number WINS! And the winner is… The team called: GALAXY!
IT WAS REAL FUN.
And everyone had to write down one thing they learned from the game at the end.
The highlight was, one girl asked her teacher if she could sing us a Thank You song!
Here are some more photos by Arunee, which I really like!
We played the same game with Baan Hua Kuang School too!
It was so fun,
But it was also very tensed (:
The teams which are already out were praying for their friend’s team to win!
Saturday the 20th of March: The Strong Will
Seed certificates were completed by my signature! Take a look!
The certificates were given to all the 6th
graders who are graduating from the schools in our project this year- certifying that they have contributed time, effort, and dedication into helping their school raise money for lunch!
