Elite Program starts
As part of our London 2012 legacy program,
the PE dept has redeveloped our program for
able, gied and talented PE student.
The new scheme is the Elite Potenal Athlete
Program (EPAP). Students are nominated by PE
sta and have to set target both for themselves
and for the school to support them. These tar-
gets are then reviewed three mes a year.
Those on the program then go on a 5 week
course on being an elite athlete with partners
Sporng Ambions. The PE dept also deliver t-
ness condioning programs, nutrion advice
and lifestyle and me management to balance
study with training.
It is totally expected that students on the pro-
gram will demonstrate superb atude towards
their sport and their educaon to stay on the
program. The hope is this extra support with
give the 28 students signed up so far the best
chance for elite success.
