Start with 24 blank 3x5 index cards. Print the attachedseries 1-4 Thankful Flashcards. Cut out each thankfulpicture. Have your child glue one picture to each indexcard. Talk with your child about what on the flashcardthey are thankful for. Write this word on the back.Hole punch each card and attach to a binder ring.

Children find it difficult to understand the worth in being thankful. They can learnto say please and thank you. Yet it takes time and guidance to help youngchildren learn to be grateful. Young children by their very nature tend to thinkabout themselves. Using thankful flashcards can give children the opportunity toexperience being grateful. As their emotions develop, so will a thankful child.
