THE MILKMAID AND HER JUG OF MILK

One day, a milkmaid was walking to the market. She had a large jug of milk on top of her head. She began to dream of all the things she could do after selling the milk.

She thought to herself, “with that money, I can buy a hundred chick.” “I’ll keep them at the back of the house. I’ll take care of them till they are fully grown.”

“ I will sell them at good price in the market. Then I will have more money. With that money, I’ll buy two young goats. I’ll feed them on the grass near my home.”

“When they are fully grown, I’ll sell them at the market for better price.” The milkmaid was smiling happily as she carried on dreaming while walking to the market.

When I was just a little girl, I asked my mother what will I be , will I be pretty, will I be rich. That what she said to me Que sera sera, what ever will be will be. The futures not ours to see, Que sera sera, what will be will be.

She continued thinking to herself. “ Soon, I will be able buy another cow. I will have more milk to sell. I will have even more money!” She began to skip and jump.

As she skipped and jumped, she suddently tripped over a stone and fell. The jug broke and the milk split over the ground.

The milkmaid cried as she sat there looking at the broken jug and the split milk.

The moral value of the story is do not be too carried away by your dreaming.

Thank you
