Life and Work
Storm Thorgersen was a English graphic designer most famous for his work on Pink Floyd’s iconic album artwork Dark Side of the Moon which has since been widely regarded as one of the best album artworks of all time. He was born in 1944 and died in 2013.
His art cover is very unique often consists of one abstract image and sometimes without even the artist or albums name.
Many of Storm Thorgerson's designs are notable for their surreal elements. He often places objects out of their traditional contexts, especially with vast spaces around them, to give them an awkward appearance while highlighting their beauty.
