STEPHEN HAWKING

. He was born on january 8, 1942 in oxford , he began to

develop symptoms of ela. stephen hawking is a

theoretical physicist, astrophysicist, cosmologist.

• Hawking wanted to study mathematics at the University Inspired by her

teacher , he majored in physics. He was a good student but not brilliant.

EDUCATION

• In the late 1960s, he and Roger

Penrose, applied a new and complex

mathematical model created from

the theory of general relativity of

Albert Einstein. He and Roger

applied a new mathematical model.

they was postulating that black hole

is completely described with their

mass properties.

CAREER AND ACHIEVEMENTS

• In 1974, he calculated that black holes should thermally create and emit

subatomic particles, He and Roger indicated that Einstein's theory have a

principle in the bing bang ,and the principle of quantum physics. Hawking

and Mlodinow as "a theory crammed with manipulable factors is not very

elegant."

PRODUCTION

British theoretical physicist,

known for his attempts to unite

general relativity with

quantum theory and for his

contributions integrally related

to cosmology.

STEPHEN HAWKING

• He born in London and

obtained his doctorate at

the University of

Cambridge, where he

worked as a mathematics

teacher since 1979.

• Much of his work relates to the concept of black hole. Their

research indicates that general relativity, if true, supports

the theory that the creation of the universe originated from

a Big Bang or Big Bang, emerged from a singularity or a

point of infinite distortion of space and time.

• Later he purged the concept considering all these

theories as secondary attempts to describe reality in

which concepts like uniqueness are meaningless and

where space and time form a closed surface without

boundaries.

• He has written History of Time: From the Big Bang

to Black Holes (1988) and other works that have

become bestsellers.

• Hawking has made such important contributions to

science while battling amyotrophic lateral sclerosis,

an incurable disease of the nervous system.

• In 1989 he was awarded in Spain's

Prince of Asturias Award for Concord.

• In his long life he has not only fought a complicated disease but has tried to

contribute to science and the theory of the universe with a passion rarely found.

• To a scientist it is difficult to admit mistakes and to generate new ideas, but

Hawking has always refuted their own theories and fought for the truth behind

them. Because of all the advances that resulted in the study of the universe it is

that we honor them by reviewing his career and personal life

PERSONAL LIFE AND

CONTRIBUTION TO SCIENCE

• Stephen Hawking pursue a doctorate at Cambridge when he was

diagnosed with AMYOTROPHIC LATERAL SCLEROSIS, a disease that affects

motor functions.

• He married Jane Wilde, Stephen Hawking spent the day studying not far

from it. Apparently genius he used only one hour of their day studying for

college, and most other activities.

• His parents are Frank and Isobel Hawking, He has two younger sisters,

Philippa and Mary, and adopted brother, Edward.

HIS LIFEPERSONAL LIFE

• Hawking postulates that the universe has no limits. On the origin of the

universe he said that after the Big Bang created several black holes, and that

was why he decided to study them in depth.

• He concluded that the event horizon of a black hole corresponds to the paths

of light rays that remain orbiting, ie can not enter or escape from it. He was

then associated with entropy.

• The conclusion reached was that the matter Hawking borrows energy from

space creating particle-antiparticle pairs that once created, separate and rejoin

annihilated.

CONTRIBUTION TO SCIENCE

WORTH ADMIRING

CAREER

• It is worth admiring because of his brilliant career.

Which has led to him being awarded several important

awards

THE PRINCE OF ASTURIAS PRIZE IN 1989

THE COPLEY MEDAL IN 2006

THE MEDAL OF FREEDOM IN 2009

And be part of the Pontifical Academy of Sciences, the

National Academy of Sciences of the United States and

a member of the Royal Society of London.

• At 21 years, Hawking was diagnosed with AMYOTROPHIC LATERAL

SCLEROSIS, so he lost mobility in his whole body depends on a

wheelchair, a computer system that provides an electronic voice to

communicate

• However, despite such a difficult situation, He goes on and he doesn´t

giving up, he stays active in the science.
