Step I. Sign up for Animoto

1. Go to www.animoto.com. Scroll to bottom left of page.

2. Enter your email address.

3. Create a password.

4. Type the same password into the confirm box.

5. Enter your first and last name.

6. Enter date of birth and click on male or female.

7. Click on Sign Up button.

8. You are ready to start a video. Click on Get Started.

Step II. Begin creating.

1. Choose you video style. Scroll down, there are many choices.

2. Be careful here: The blue rectangle is trying to ask you to buy extra video time.

3. Under the blue rectangle click on: or make a 30 second video for free.

4. Here you can watch or Skip the tutorial.

What is Brainshark? Brainshark is a web-based tool that enables users to easily transform content into voice-enriched

video presentations that can be accessed anytime. Users can add voice to a PowerPoint, narrate a document, create a

photo album and add voice to each photo, and more.

Step I. Create a Free Account

1. Go to www.brainshark.com. Click on Try It for Free to create your free account.

2. On the next screen, select Sign up for Free.

3. Enter a screen name

4. Enter your email address

5. Create and confirm a password

6. Click Register

Step II. Log in and begin using Brainshark

1. Once registered, you will automatically be taken to www.my.brainshark.com (this is the web-site you will use to access the free version of Brainshark in the future).

2. Once logged in, you may begin creating your voice-enriched presentation!

3. Click on Upload Content.

4. A screen (see below) will appear. Here you can choose what you would like to do (e.g., add voice to PowerPoint,

narrate a document).

**Note: For the purpose of this document, the step-by-step instructions will walk you through adding voice to

PowerPoint; however, the steps are similar across each option.

5. Click on Upload a PowerPoint

6. Select the file that you would like to upload from your computer.

7. Your file will be opened and converted in just a few seconds.

8. The Title field will be populated with the document name.

Note: You can also add a description, categories, and tags.

9. Click on Next.

10. Add Audio:

11. You can also skip adding audio at this time (you can add audio later).

Step-by-Step Go! Animate Directions

What is Go! Animate? Go! Animate is a web-based tool that allows users create and customize an animated video and

email it to your friends.

Step I. Register to Go! Animate Account

1. Go to www.goanimate.com. Scroll to right side of page.

2. Enter your email address

3. Enter a user name

4. Create a password

5. Type the same password into the confirm box

6. Mark the box to accept the terms of use

7. Clisk on Create my account

8. You will receive a message requiring you to validate

your email address. At this time, login to your email

and confirm the new Go! Animate account

9. Your email will contain the following message

your Go! Animate Account

Step II. Login and begin creating.

1. You may be asked to login to your new account. Click on the word Login

the computer’s microphone to speak in what you want to say.

10. Press enter on your keyboard to move to the next actor

and type what you want them to say.

11. Want to see what you made? Click on the Preview button.

12. After the preview you can click on Save Now.

13. Enter a title for your video.

14. To send your video, click on Publish.

15. Add your friends’ emails here by typing them in.

16. You can select contacts or import them.

17. Add a message about your video.

18. Click send.

19. You can also post to Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, or Embed.

Step-by-Step ToonDoo Directions

What is ToonDoo? ToonDoo is a web-based tool that enables users to create a comic strip in just a few clicks, drags, and

drops. Each ToonDoo can be emailed, printed, saved to your computer, and/or purchased.

Step I. Create a Free Account

1. Go to www.toondo.com. Click on Sign Up for FREE! to create your free account.

2. Enter a username

3. Create a password

4. Enter your email address in the Email Id box

5. Click Register

Step II. Log in and begin using ToonDoo

1. You may be asked to login to your new account. Click on the words Log in

2. Once logged in, you may begin creating your first comic strip! Click on ToonDoo Maker.

3. A screen (see below) will appear. Here you can select the type of comic strip you would like to create.

4. The following screen will appear (see below). Here you can create the comic strip in the layout you previously

selected. This screen allows you to pick your character(s), background, crops, special effects, and text boxes. Drag

and drop items into each “screen” of your comic strip. To remove, just drag out of the comic strip.

5. Once your comic strip is complete, hold your mouse over the ToonDoo button (top left) and then click Save.

6. You will then be prompted to set a title for your new ToonDoo (you can also provide a description).

7. Under Options, select the radio button next to “Publish to the world!”, “Keep is private!”, or “Share with friends!”

8. If you decide to share your ToonDoo with friends, enter their e-mail addresses (separated by commas) into the box.

9. Once all information is entered, click Publish.

10. To find the list of ToonDoos you’ve created, hold your cursor over Toons and then select My ToonDoos.

You can simply select the ToonDoo you’d like to view.

11. Individual ToonDoos can be printed, e-mailed, saved to a computer, and/or purchased.

Step-by-Step Voki Directions

What is Voki? Voki is a web-based tool that allows users create and customize a speaking character to send to a friend

or save on your website (e.g., Facebook, igoogle, Yahoo, Blogger).

Step I. Register to Voki Account

1. Go to www.voki.com. Scroll to top right corner and

click on Register to create your free account.

2. Click Register

This opens a Create your Voki Account screen.

3. Enter your name

4. Enter your email address

5. Type your email again to confirm email

6. Create a password

7. Type the same password into the confirm box

8. Mark the box to accept the terms of use

9. You will receive a message requiring you to validate your email address. At this time, login to your email and

confirm the new Voki account

10. Your email will contain the following message

9. Name your Voki. Click SAVE.

10. You may need to sign in to your account.

Step-by-Step Wobook Directions

What is Wobook? Wobook is a web-based tool that allows users to upload documents (e.g., PowerPoint, Word, Excel,

PDF) and turn those files into an electronic book with one-click. Each Wobook is assigned its own URL, which can be

shared with others after creating. Please note: the first five Wobooks you create are free; however, you can also

purchase a monthly package that allows 50 books/month and includes additional features.

Step I. Create a Free Account

1. Go to www.wobook.com. Scroll down page and

click on Register to create your free account

1. You may be asked to login to your new account. Click on the words My Account

2. To begin creating your Wobook, click on the plus sign.

3. Locate the file on your computer (files may be PowerPoint, Word, Excel, or PDF). To do so, click on the bar

with the green arrow.

4. Wait until the upload is complete before clicking on the screen or closing the window.

5. You will then be prompted to set a name and description for the Wobook you’ve created. Once entered,

click Save and Proceed to the Next Step.

6. To find the list of Wobooks you’ve created, click My Wobooks. You can simply select the Wobook you’d

like to view.

7. If you’d like to find your Wobook URL link, click on the link icon (looks like a chain link).

Step-by-Step Wordle Directions www.wordle.net

What is Wordle? Wordle enables users to generate “word clouds” from text that you provide. Clouds can be tweaked with different fonts, color schemes, and layouts. Images created are yours to use however you desire. They can be printed or saved to the Wordle gallery to share. You do not need to create an account to begin using Wordle! Step I. Begin using Wordle

1. Go to www.wordle.net. Click on Create your own to begin creating your first Wordle. 2. You can also view and use examples created by others, by clicking More…

3. Once you click Create, you will be given two options: a. Type/Paste in your own text b. Enter the URL of any blog, blog feed, or any other web page that has an Atom or RSS feed.

4. After entering text (or URL), click on Go or Submit

5. The words/text you have entered will appear in randomized order (*Note: Do not click the back button or you will have to start all over!). If you want to emphasize particular words, enter them more than one time into the text box in Step 3.
