  • You are invited to join us as we discuss "Worship that Celebrates the Resurrection" on Wednesday,April 3 (meal 5:45-6:15, Program 6:15-7:15). The menu will be BBQ, baked beans, cole slaw, potatosalad, salad bar, dessert.

    Visioning for Women's MinistryThank you to all the women who were able to participatein Faithfully Creative: A Woman's Retreat." We so appreciatedyour thoughtful feedback on the evaluation forms and yourenthusiasm for future events for women at John KnoxPresbyterian Church. If you were unable to join us, pleaseknow that you were missed.

    The 2019 Retreat Planning Team has scheduled a visioningsession for women’s ministry at JKPC on Sunday, April 7 at12:15 p.m. in the Kirk Room. We'll have light refreshments, share feedback from the retreat, and dosome dreaming about what might lie ahead for Women's Ministry at John Knox. There’s no need to letus know you’re coming—just show up after the 11 a.m. worship service on April 7 and share yourideas!

  • Bread Ministry NeedsWe need a little help in our visitor bread ministry!!Would you mind devoting a half hour one Sundaya quarter to deliver bread to our first timevisitors? It’s a great way to introduce folks to thefriendliness of John Knox we are so proud of. It’salso very rewarding to meet new people and tellthem a little about us. AND, it’s ONLY about 1/2hour once every 12 weeks! Please call MauryPurcell at 616-9699 if interested.

  • Children's Ministry NewsEaster Egg HuntOn Saturday, April 13, our John Knox Youth will be hosting the annual Easter Egg Hunt for our youngerchildren. This is a wonderful, fun-filled time for all ages! Please plan to join us for some yummy Eastertreats, games, story time, and, of course, the big Easter Egg Hunt. We will meet from 3:00 – 4:00 in thelower parking lot near the gym. Don’t forget to bring your Easter baskets!

    Palm SundayOn Palm Sunday, April 14, our children are invited to be part of our worship byprocessing into the church waving palm branches and singing. We will do this atthe beginning of both worship services, and all children are invited to participate.We encourage children to be part of the processional for both services. ElizabethMartin will be teaching the children their song during Sunday School, so theyshould all be prepared to participate. Check your Children’s Ministry Newsletterfor the words. We hope your children will be able to join us as we celebrate theday with our church family.

    Sunday Night Youth GroupJoin us this Sunday night for fellowship, games, and a continuation ofour current series, Mine. We can’t wait to see you!Jr. Highs: 4:30-6:00Sr. Highs: 5:30-7:00

  • United Ministries Food CollectionPlease remember to bring food items for the United Ministries' Food Drive next Sunday, April 7. Pleasesee highlights of the help that's been provided by United Ministries so far in 2019:

    *9 students passed the GED.*7 individuals began a job training course.

  • *37 jobs were obtained.*364 families received food.*264 families received assistance with utilities or rent.*766 showers were taken at Place of Hope day shelter.*2 families and 5 homeless individuals gained a home.*27 new individuals received emergency shelter through theInterfaith Hospitality Network.*Volunteers gave 5,454 hours.
