• Responses are (in general) shorter than in previous years.

• More applications to review• Follow up is needed for incomplete applications.• Incoming students may now self-select their room

What does this mean for the LLCs?

Application Review Timeline

• Rolling Admissions (sort of)!• Complete applications (and community updates/rosters)

will be emailed to your team each Tuesday for the rest of the semester.

• Application Review should start now, with three “target dates” in mind for admitting applicants:– Notify Christy (via RD) of students accepted to your LLC by/on:• April 9th

• April 23rd

• May 7th

More Application Review

• RDs are responsible for convening application reviews.– Good communication is key!

• At each review, applicants can be sorted into categories– Yes! We want them right now!– Maybe—let’s wait a few more weeks and see…– Maybe—but they look like a good candidate for their 2nd

choice LLC…• Let Christy know of the “Yes” and “Forward to 2nd

choice” candidates after you meet/confer

Advantages

• Students who applied in February (the “eager beavers”) get admitted and “hooked” into the LLC program

• Students are able to self-select into LLC rooms much sooner– Trickle down effect

• Each LLC team knows how their individual community is coming together
