There is a common occurrence in everything that was mentioned. These students are finding something that is genuine, real, fun, exciting and life giving. There are not many things that kids are exposed to now-a-days that give them this type of experience. Young Life does.

When students walk through the doors at Young Life they can always count on feeling welcomed, having fun and being a part of a genuine community. Kids do not need to put on a mask. They come as they are, can be who they are and most of them find that they can finally be themselves.

This truly is Young Life.

We asked several kids the question, “What has Young Life meant to you?"Here is what they had to say…

Another successful year of Young Life in Stark County concluded this summer. We had an incredible year with kids through our club

events, weekend retreats and summer camp trips. The Stretars have completed their first

year of being in Stark County after moving here from Connecticut. Their son Frankie (2 yrs old in September) is always staying busy with his love for sports. Frank and Erin are also

expecting their second child at the beginning of March. “We look forward to an even better year in 2013 in Stark County!” –Frank & Erin

We have another exciting year of Young Life coming up. Hoover, GlenOak, Timken and McKinley have plans to start

up Club and Campaigners in September on select nights of the week for each area.

We will have updated Fall and Spring schedules on our website soon. Visit

ylstarkcounty.younglife.org.

Coming up in November we will have our annual Fall Weekend trip. All students in grades 9-12 are invited to come join the fun! Also,

it is never too early to ask about our summer camp trips. This past year was one that kids will never forget!

The Timken and McKinley Clubs are joining forces this year and teaming up for monthly Club events. We are excited to have

continued ministry in the city of Canton.

After three and a half years of faithful service to the mission of Young

Life and to kids in the inner city of Canton, Donnel Martin is resigning as Young Life Staff. Donnel will be active in other ministries throughout Canton,

primarily with the Martin Center. We will miss Donnel being a part of the Young Life team. Donnel also expressed his love for the ministry and the great

opportunity he had to be a part of Stark County Young Life.

We are excited for our next wave of leaders. Erin, Sarah and Chris have joined the suburban leadership team and Nate, Courtney and Brittany have joined the urban leadership team. We are grateful to have them onboard.

Frank is currently serving as the Area Director, overseeing all the

programs in Stark County as well as being the local trainer of Stark County

staff and volunteers.
