STANDARDIZED TESTING APRIL 16-20 Next week, students in grades 1-8 will take the TerraNova 3 standardized test. A
standardized test is a type of test given to all students across the nation, with the same
directions and generally the same content. Standardized tests can be given in both public
and private schools. Please know these tests are one piece in the evaluation as to where
Trinity Christian School and each student are academically.
Please make every attempt to have your student here on time each day. Testing is held
each morning and the school will be a quiet zone every day until approximately 11 a.m.
Here are a few other reminders when it comes to standardized testing week:
All testing takes place in 1st-8th grade, 8:30-11 a.m.
Please have your child bring at least two, No. 2 pencils with good erasers
There will be NO CHAPEL or Moms in Prayer Wednesday, April 18
Children are encouraged to get plenty of sleep and eat healthy,
nutritional breakfasts
Teachers will take testing week into consideration and there will
be no homework besides continuing to read as to not overload
students throughout the week
Please encourage your children not to put any added pressure on
themselves but to just do their best! Let’s also join together in praying
for peace within our students. Thank you for partnering with us to
TCS WELCOMES NEW PRESCHOOL DIRECTOR We are pleased to announce that Sheri Busker has accepted the position

great dynamic to our preschool as an organized, caring, and
compassionate leader. She loves kids and the opportunities that come to love and grow
them academically and spiritually. Mrs. Busker is married to her husband Joel and has

Chapel Notes, by Colin R., Guest Contributor
Chapel Guests: TCS Student Council
Wednesday in chapel, Student Council led everyone in worship. The songs were about God, of course, but also joy. After that Miss Kaye G., an eighth grade Student Council member, gave a speech on joy. Miss G. then went
on to speak about the importance of having God’s joy in our lives. After listening to her speech I learned that joy
really is important and can change someone’s life.
Trinity Christian School hosts its sixth annual Run, White & Blue 5K, April 28, at 8 a.m. This is a great time for
us to have fun getting a little exercise, interact with the local community, spend time with family and
promote our great school. This race raises money for our scholarship fund. A portion of the money we raise
also supports New Life for Haiti. We always love to see as many of our families as possible at the run. Invite friends, relatives, co-workers
or neighbors to join in the fun!
Run on your own or as part of a team. You can start your own team or join one that already exists, like the New Life Runners. Team mem-
bers receive a $5 discount on registration, when the team has five or more members. You say you don’t run? Don’t worry, you can walk
too, so get registered!
Help us spread the word by liking our Facebook page and sharing it with your friends. Use this link to register today! Get off the couch
and get ready to RUN, WHITE & BLUE!
Don’t want to run but can help out? There are LOTS of ways you can help. To sign up, just use this link: signup.com/go/KwwBNHz. Don't
miss out on what is guaranteed to be a great day! Contact Mrs. Vera Erickson at [email protected] with any questions.
