Saint Vincent de Paul Parish School Parents, Welcome to the first 2018-2019 school year newsletter. The newsletter will be received via email and the school website. Our school students will not bring a paper copy home. Attendance and Arrival Our school day begins promptly at 7:55 am. Students are able to arrive at 7:30 am for morning supervision in Corrigan Hall. Students are to be in their homerooms at 7:55 am. Students not in homeroom at that time will be marked tardy. If students arrive after 7:55 am parents are to escort them to our main entrance on Maple Street. Absence If your child is not able to attend school on any given day, parents are to notify the school by 9:00 am either by phone (330.762.5912) or email (lbelair@stvincentelementary.com) Dismissal At 3:00 pm all students are dismissed according to the completed and received transportation forms. Any changes to your child’s dismissal plan need to be sent to your child’s homeroom teacher—in writing—the day of the change. Please do not email changes to the office or teachers. We are not always able to check emails before dismissal. School Communication A newsletter will be sent by email every week. The newsletter will include pertinent school information, the lunch menu and various news fliers. The newsletter will also be posted on the school website. Free or Reduced Lunch Application If you think your family might be eligible to benefit from this federal program, please complete the attached application and return it to the school office. We will send you a notification of your participation Acceptable Use Policy Each child in grades Preschool -8 will be bringing home an Acceptable Use Policy. Please read through the policy, sign and return it to school. A signed policy must be on file with the school before your child can have access to technology. Scholastic Book Fair This favorite event will be held in the Scullen Room, September 16-18. Parents and parishioners can preview and purchase items on Sunday, September 16 from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm. You may also order online at scholastic.com/fair. School Picture Day All students will have pictures taken on Tuesday, September 18. An order form will be sent home next week with each child. You may pre-order your package at mylifetouch.com using our picture day ID of WP048070Y0. Students are to wear school appropriate dress clothes, no jeans. Please follow the general dress code policy examples such as hair styles, length of dresses and skirts and sizes of hair bows. Community Council Attached is a volunteer sign-up form for Community Council. Please review all the wonderful ways you can volunteer to help improve our school. Acme Community Cashback This program will be held through December 29, 2018. Please send your Acme grocery receipts to school with your student. Our school receives 5% back in cash for all the receipts we submit during the program.

Please send your child(ren’s) lunch money in an envelope. Each lunch is $2.75 per day, per child.

Reduced price is $ .40 per day if you have applied/been approved.

Please clearly mark the front of the envelope with each of your children’s names and grades and indicate which days your child will be wanting the hot

lunch tray.

Milk is included in the tray lunch. You may purchase an extra milk ticket for $2.50.

For those who wish to pack their lunch, and just buy milk: Please follow the same procedure as you always have - mark your envelope:

-The price of milk is $2.50 per week or $.50 per day. You may purchase an extra milk ticket for $2.50 per week.
