Reflec on

I WILL SHOW YOU THE PATH OF LIFE

When Jesus was transfigured before His disciples, they saw His true iden ty and were made aware of His mission. It is good that we are here, gathered as one family in faith as brothers and sisters in Christ. We share our common Lenten journey, our mission, and during these sacred 40 days, we are transformed more fully into the image of Christ.

The Eucharist we celebrate is the place where we meet God most in mately and can listen most clearly to God’s voice. How is Jesus trying to shine in and through me?

Dear Parishioners, We are at the beginning of Lent. This season is a

liturgical mountain leading us up to the peak of our Chris an belief! The Resurrec on. Can we look at that peak, keep it in mind, and take step a er step as Abraham and Jesus did? How do we get our internal compass poin ng in the right direc on?

LISTEN! We need to be a en ve! Listen to God speaking to us in the Scriptures proclaimed at Mass. God speaks as the homilist breaks open the Word. God speaks in the lyrics of our hymns. God speaks through our companions who are also mountain climbers. “This is my be-loved Son, listen to Him.”

Sincerely yours, Father John Sakowski
