READINGS FOR THE WEEK LECTURAS PARA LA SEMANA
Sunday: Is 6:1-2a, 3-8; Ps 138:1-5, 7-8; 1 Cor 15:1-11 [3-8, 11]; Lk 5:1-11 Isaiah, a man of unclean lips, beholds the Lord's glory in the temple and is sent on mission. Simon, a sinner, responds to the mission of Jesus by becoming a disciple. Paul, the persecutor, speaks of his call to preach nothing but Christ crucified and risen. Monday: Gn 1:1-19; Ps 104:1-2a, 5-6, 10, 12, 24, 35c; Mk 6:53-56 All creation is proclaimed good in the sight of God. All nations are invited to share in messianic blessings. Tuesday: Gn 1:20 — 2:4a; Ps 8:4-9; Mk 7:1-13 Made in God’s image, we, nevertheless, often judge by human standards rather than by divine commandments. Wednesday: Gn 2:4b-9, 15-17; Ps 104:1-2a, 27-28, 29bc-30; Mk 7:14-23 An ancient creation narrative is presented. Jesus speaks of evil in the heart. Thursday: Gn 2:18-25; Ps 128:1-5; Mk 7:24-30 A biblical tradition regarding the origins of human life is presented. Jesus heals the daughter of a foreigner, a Syrophonecian woman. Friday: Gn 3:1-8; Ps 32:1-2, 5-7; Mk 7:31-37 The human race is wounded by the sin of pride, which God forgives. Jesus deals the deaf and the mute. Saturday: Gn 3:9-24; Ps 90:2-4abc, 5-6, 12-13; Mk 8:1-10 The human race is delivered from the inevitability of death and evil by Jesus, who feeds us with bread eternal. Sunday: Jer 17:5-8; Ps 1:1-4, 6; 1 Cor 15:12, 16-20; Lk 6:17, 20-26 Blest are they who trust in the Lord. Blest are they who are poor and who endure insult. For their reward shall be great: eternal life.

DID YOU KNOW?
As parents, we want to keep our children safe from any harm. That includes harm from identity theft, which can lead to compromised credit scores and financial ruin, before your child even gets his/her first job! Take steps to minimize the risk of identity theft by setting up credit freezes on your child’s social security number, or getting an IRS identity protection PIN that will prevent fraudulent use of your child’s identity.
