From the Pastor Dear Parishioners: I pray that your final preparations for the Advent of the Christ are underway, for this week we celebrate once again the birth of the Savior, the Word Made Flesh, Jesus Christ, the Word Among Us, Immanuel, God With Us. We are pleased to offer your family a gift for Christmas. It is a book entitled Bible Basics for Catholics: A New Picture of Salvation History. It is written by John Bergsma, a professor at the Franciscan University of Steubenville. This book is called a “fresh, fun, and authentically Catholic introduction to the ‘big picture’ of salvation history. Bergsma combines sound theology, academic expertise, pastoral wisdom, and an endearing playfulness to draw readers into the connection between the great stories of the Bible and salvation in Jesus.” I hope that you will find that this book is an excellent follow-up to our Quick Journey Through the Bible series we offered this Fall because it is arranged according to the covenants that we discussed in our video series. Even if you did not attend the Bible study with us, you will undoubtedly gain a fresh new perspective of the story of salvation history and how all of God’s covenants with us culminated and found their completion in the new and eternal covenant of the Blood of Jesus (see Mk 14:24, Heb 9:15, 13:20). Copies of this book will be available after the 4:30 p.m. Vigil, Midnight, 8:30 a.m., and 10:30 a.m. Masses on Christmas. Please take one book per family, read it, and then share it with your friends. On behalf of Fr. Joby Mathew and Deacon Leo Hebert, I wish you a blessed, joy-filled, and Merry Christmas season. Fr. Huckaby

The Church office will close at 4:00pm on December 23rd and will reopen at 9:00am on January 5th. The Pastors and Staff of St. Theodore wish you all a very Blessed and Merry Christmas!

STEWARDSHIP Faith is a gift from God. During this Christmas season take time in silence and pray to God. Thank Him for all the gifts He has given you. Try to set aside anger or resentment you have and really open your heart to

receive the gift of God’s grace.

P o r t A g g r e g a t e f o r donating a truckload of gravel to our playground. TCBY for holding Spirit

nights and for donating funds to our school. We a r e s o appreciative for the generosity of our community members.

SPACE- Supermarkets and Parents for the Advancement of Catholic Education

Please support our school by purchasing SPACE gift certificates. This is how it works. Holy Family purchases gift certificates from Market Basket at 5% off of their face value. These certificates are sold to you for exactly what they are worth. For a $20

gift certificate you pay $20 and when you use the certificate at the store, you receive $20 worth of groceries. At the same time, Holy Family makes $1 or 5% each time you use that certificate. It is that easy. If you have a charge account at Market Basket, you may pay that account at the Courtesy counter with SPACE gift certificates as well.

SPACE gift certificates may be purchased in the school office Monday – Friday from 8 am –3 pm.
