CENTERING PRAYER SUPPORT GROUP: This is an opportunity to spend quiet time with God—personal and private. We meet in the Con-ference Room each Thursday at 9:30 am. The group is led by Lolita Dierickx. Introductory vid-eos will again be offered. If you want to learn more, talk to Lolita or Candy. Everyone is welcome! ——————————————————————————————————————————————–—————————————————

GRANDPARENTS DAY is Sunday, September

10. Recognition of all grandparents that week-

end. Special surprise for all grandparents—be

sure to get yours before you leave Mass. ————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————-

ADULT FAITH FORMATION FLYERS: Living our faith is not seasonal. We don’t take a sum-mer vacation from our relationship with God and with our brothers and sisters in Christ. BUT tra-ditionally, we “re-group” in the fall. Here is an-other chance to be part of the group! Join us once or once-in-awhile . We are trying to offer a cross-section of opportunities that meet our needs for spiritual nurturing: with God, with each other and beyond our gates. For more information, talk to Candy. ————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————-

COMING ATTRACTION: Join Candy for a showing of “THIS IS US”’ the Emmy nominated TV show, Season 1, Episode 1, on Wednesday, September 13 at 9:30 am and again at 7:00 pm. Morning showing will be in the Gathering Space, evening will be in Room 23. Free popcorn will be available. ————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————-

NEW LIFE CLUB: Re-organizational meeting, here at church, on Thursday, September 21, at 11:00 am. Bring ideas, bring your calendars. Light lunch will be served. Meet in Room 23. ————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————-

“Love is unreasonable, and it will always be unreasonable. So, Love Unreasona-bly!” (Cardinal Sean Patrick O’Malley) ————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————-

CALLED AND GIFTED program is specifi-cally designed to help you discover your gifts, and to apply them every day in our life. Find out what charisms, or gifts, you have been given by the Holy Spirit to be used for the good of others. There is not greater feeling than knowing that you are fulfilling God’s plan for you. Meet Mon-days—6:30—9:00 pm, Sept. 11—Oct. 23, Nov. 6, 20, and Dec. 4. Contact Cheryl Brogla-Krupke [email protected] or 563-343-2834. $35 cost. See Kiosk 6 for more information and registra-tion forms.

The Adult Corner EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS/READERS: If you are interested in becoming a minister or reader, please contact the church office. We will be holding a training in September.

VANG: A Drama about Recent Immigrant

Farmers: It isn’t possible to witness this play and not be changed by the gut-wrenching experiences of these recent refugees and immigrants, by their ability to survive in the face of the horrific. With our current immigration policy debate, this play gives us much food for thought. FREE and open

to the public performance Thursday, Sept. 14 at 7:00 pm at DeWitt Opera House Theatre. Spon-sored by Our Lady of the Prairie Retreat and Sis-ters of St. Francis, Clinton.
