A MESSAGE FROM FATHER PAT

PRAYER TO ST. PIUS X Glorious Pope of the Eucharist, Saint Pius X, you sought "to restore all things in Christ.” Obtain for me a true love of Jesus so that I may live only for Him. Help me to acquire a lively fervor and a sincere will to strive for sanctity of life, and that I may avail myself of the riches of the Holy Eucharist in sacrifice and sacrament. By your love for Mary, mother and queen of all, inflame my heart with tender devotion to her. Blessed model of the priesthood, obtain for us holy, dedicated priests, and increase vocations to the religious life. Dispel confusion and hatred and anxiety, and incline our hearts to peace and concord so that all nations will place themselves under the sweet reign of Christ. Amen. Saint Pius X, pray for us.

Dear St. Pius X Community,

I am wri ng this from Northern Virginia while my nephew does his summer math homework. It is green here (Idea for next year). In an hour, I head down to Our Lady of Angels Monastery. The nuns there prayed for me during my transi on and invited me to be with them for the dedica on of their new church. Movie night is coming up. We will be showing “Wall-E” and all are welcome. We will have 50 cent hot dogs and CYO will be selling chips and soda. This is BYOB, so bring your own blanket and any other B things you might want to bring. Gates open (not that they are locked) and food will be ready 15 minutes before sunset, which is 8:17 PM that day according to Google. Again, this is for friends, family, neighbors and those we don’t know yet. We will be having movies every second Saturday of the month. We are going to start having our quarterly financial informa on in the bulle n beginning in October. This has been a goal for a year, but it just isn’t easy with our new accoun ng system that the Archdiocese has us using. The short report is eight (8) pages, but even if the system can’t do it, we will produce something for you. If you have any ques ons un l then, as we go through our stewardship me, please come see me. I will show you whatever you want to see. (Other than salaries of course!) Also, remember all the collec ons we had for the church a year ago, we stopped those; so please remember that in your discernment about what you are going to pledge to the church next week. Thanks again to all those that have done so much this summer to help spruce the place up. You all have really made a difference!

Have a great week! In Him, Fr. Pat
