St Paul Bethany Reopening for Services

St Paul and Bethany Ministry congregational council has voted to resume in person worship service

beginning Sunday, September 13, 2020. We will still offer an online version of the service.

Saturday services will not resume YET.

We are not encouraging parishioners either way we simply want to open our doors to those who choose to

come to church and worship in person. We hope you can do what you are comfortable with in your own

time.

In person services are going to look a little different:

Reserve your spot call office 737-6758 (Office Hours M-F 9-Noon or leave a message) or RSVP on our

website www.stpaulwarwick.org or Facebook page

Arrive early wearing your mask and enter through the handicapped entrance while social distancing.

Check in with usher (for contact tracing, one name on list for your party)

Proceed to Sanctuary

Offering drop in plate on way in (we encourage online giving)

Pick up your bulletin and communion cup from front tables

Proceed to socially distance seating. Sit only in designated area

End of service proceed out the front doors (one way travel)

Masks will be required by all while in the building (exceptions are socially distant pastor, readers and while

taking communion)

Current phase does not allow fellowship/coffee hour and we will not be singing. There will be no Sunday

school as of yet. We will not have Saturday services at this time.

Our sanctuary can currently accommodate seating for approximately 20-52 parishioners depending on fam-

ily size, hence reservations will be required. Reservations will also provide us a list in the unfortunate sce-

nario that we need to provide a contact tracing.

Entry and exit to the church will be one way travel, in by the middle entrance (handicap entrance) and exit

through main doors at front of church.

Pews will be taped off where NOT to sit to keep people socially distant from others. You will be able to sit

with your immediate family and number in your party should be noted during your reservation.

Offering plates will not be passed. We encourage online giving through the secure site Vanco payments

which can be found on our website. We will still accept offering in the plate dropped off on your way into

the sanctuary.

Restrooms will be open to only one person at a time, unless you are from the same family.

Please bring your bulletin home with you or discard in the recycling bins in the Narthex on your way out.

Discard your communion cup in the special bin on your way out as well.

Please contact the office immediately if you have attended a service and subsequently become ill.

We hope to be able to accommodate those who want to attend. Please be considerate and cancel your reser-vation if you change your mind or make other plans. We will be adapting as we move forward and back if necessary.

St. Paul /Bethany Congregation

This request was first sent out in May. A few of you responded. If you did not

participate please give thought to these questions and reply online or send your

answers to the church. We need to show how and what our mission and purpose

is in our community and in the life of the church. This is just one step in search-

ing for a new minister. We need to show how and what our mission and purpose

is in our community and in the life of the church. YOUR answers will help us

find the WHY.

What is our congregation’s mission and purpose?

Why would our neighbors want to be part of our church?

Why do we do what we do as a congregation?

1. WHY are YOU part of THIS (St Paul/Bethany) church?

2. Choose a bible story, biblical character or psalm that you think reflects the life

of the St Paul Bethany congregation.

This will be the first step in compiling a profile of WHO WE ARE and what our mission is at St.

Paul Bethany. As members of St Paul Bethany we want to give a true summary of who we are.

Please take the time to answer these questions and either email your responses to the church

“God’s work. Our hands.”

Sunday, September 13, 2020

Our service project—Veterans Home Bristol, RI.

We have been collecting socks, underwear, sweat pants and sweat shirts for this

outreach since May. With so many changes and restrictions due to the outbreak of

Coronavirus, we contacted the Veterans Home in Bristol to see how they wanted us

to handle our donations this year. They advised that they are not receiving donations

other than by mail.

Because by mail is the only way for us to donate and taking into consideration

the anticipated cost associated with this, we’ve decided to postpone this project until

next year’s God’s Work Our Hands outreach. Donations received so far and any others

that you may wish to bring in will be kept aside for next year.

Thank you, as always, for your kindness and participation in St. Paul/Bethany

outreach projects to help those in need!

Once again your help and generosity has allowed us to support children

through the CCAP (Comprehensive Community Action Program).

We were able to donate 21 Backpacks filled with supplies and in ad-

dition to backpacks, we were able to donate 11 boxes of assorted

supplies as well!!! CCAP was so happy!!!

Without this support many children would not have the essentials to start

the school year.

Thank you, thank you St. Paul and Pilgrim for your continued generosity

to children in need.

The children are truly blessed by you!
