Kids Bully Proof Workshop Sat. Sept 23, K—3 @ 12pm, 4-8 @ 2pm Offered by Elite Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu of Seattle 5050 Delridge Way SW When we hear special events that may be of interest to our fami-lies, we’ll share them in the newsletter. For more information, please contact Elite Brazilian Jiu-Jistsu directly. A message from Elite Jiu-Jistsu: Bullying is a problem affecting all schools and children, and school
administration and staff can only do so much. Our approach is a
very simple and fundamental one, focusing on empowering the
student. It isn’t about telling on the bully; that can in fact make mat-
ters worse. It’s about having the confidence to believe in yourself
and stand up to other kids.
By attending this seminar, you’ll give your kids the tools necessary
to begin understanding how to recognize and handle bullying situa-
tions appropriately. Parents, educating your kids is the first step, but
our coaching is founded in the belief that those invested in the
child’s life are responsible for their education, so we are here to
work with you to ensure that your child has the proper tools to be
bullyproof.
There are two different sessions:
Kinder - 3rd Grade at 12pm ***Parents must accompany children.
4th - 8th Grade at 2pm ***Parents must accompany children.
Cost: No cost. However, Elite BJJ of Seattle supports New Begin-
nings-Ending Domestic Violence and would like to ask for donations
for their needs; their mission is to empower survivors and mobilizes
community awareness and action to end domestic violence, and
they provide housing and support to victims and their families, but
they can't do it alone. If you are able, please donate anything from
the following list:
- full size toiletries
- twin size bedding
- gift cards (QFC, Safeway, Fred Meyer etc)
- check donation of any amount made out to New Beginnings
