STELLAR Programme

STELLAR aims to strengthen both language and

reading skills as well as promote a positive attitude

towards reading in the foundational years through the

use of well-established, learner-centred and

developmentally appropriate pedagogical approaches

using authentic children's literature.

What is PAL?

• Stands for Programme for Active Learning

• Consists of modules in the two broad areas: Sports & Outdoor Education and Performing & Visual Arts

• Addresses the greater need for non-academic programmes for P1 and P2 pupils

just equipped with content knowledge

avoid trolley bags.

Contents in School Bag

• pencils (at least 2 and sharpened before coming to school)

• an eraser (1 or 2)

• a short ruler that can fit into the pencil case

• a sharpener (preferably those with a cover and casing to

avoid spillage)

• a bottle of glue and a pair of scissors (optional)

• colouring pencils (sharpened before coming to school)

Do label all stationeries including colouring pencils.

Contents in Pencil Case

Attire & Jackets • Uniform: shirt and maroon skirt/shorts (shirt to be tuck out)

and worn on days with no P.E. lessons i.e. Thursday

• P.E. Attire: shirt and black shorts (shirt to be tuck in) and

worn on days with P.E. lessons only

• Jackets: Pupils will have lessons in classrooms with air-

conditioning on the following days. They are encouraged to

bring along a jacket on these days.

Pupil’s Diary

• Pupils will copy their homework in their diaries every

day. I will conduct daily checks to ensure that they have

taken down their homework and sign to acknowledge

that they have done so.

• Letters to parents will be attached to the diary. Hence do

check their diary daily.
