GOSPEL MEDITATION � ENCOURAGE DEEPER UNDERSTANDING OF SCRIP-

TURE�

June 10, 2018 10th Sunday in Ordinary Time�

Have you ever felt judged by your family? St. John Paul II noted that the

family "is the cradle of life and love" (On the Lay Members of Christ's

Faithful, 40). Yet unmet expecta8ons and divergent priori8es can cause

tension in even the most loving family situa8ons. This is true for us, and it

was true for Jesus!�

In today's Gospel, Jesus has returned home to Nazareth. A large crowd

gathered, and Jesus finds himself facing s8ff opposi8on from his family.

This was likely Jesus' large, extended family. �

On Saturday, Get Outdoors Colorado will take place at Sloan’s Lake

on Saturday June 9 from 10:30 AM to 3:00 PM. We will open the

parking lot for parking during this event and we are expec*ng the lot

to be cleared for the 5:00PM mass�

On Sunday, June 10, the Knights of Columbus will be serving a panca-

ke breakfast a/er the 9:00 and 10:30 masses. Please join us for this

occasion.�

The Knights of Columbus will have their monthly mee*ng on Mon-

day, June 11 at 6:00 PM at St. Dominic’s Priory. All members of the

council are expected to a4end and new welcome.�

If you know some who has asked the St. Mary Magdalene communi-

ty to pray for them, or if you yourself need the community to pray

for you, we now have a Book of Inten*ons in the south entrance of

the church. To be remembered in the prayers of the community, just

write your name or the name of the person seeking prayers in the

book. I would as all members of the community to build the habit of

checking this book every week, and to keep the persons named the-

re in your prayers during that week. I will also include the names in

the Universal Prayers at our masses.�

El sábado 9 de junio, Get Outdoor Colorado tendrá lugar en el lago

Sloan Lake de 10:30 am a 3:00 pm. Vamos a abrir el estacionamiento

para estacionar durante este evento y estamos esperando que sea

despejado para la Misa de 5:00PM�

El domingo 10 de junio, los caballeros de Colón servirán un desayuno

de panqueques después de las Misas de 9:00 y 10:30. Por favor úna-

se a nosotros para esta ocasión.�

Los caballeros de Colón tendrán su reunión mensual el lunes, 11 de

junio a las 6:00 PM en el Priorato de Santo Domingo. Se espera que

todos los miembros del Consejo asistan y tengan una nueva bienve-

nida.�

Todos los jueves hay adoración al San@simo a par*r de las 7:00 PM.

Durante esa hora también hay confesiones. �

Si usted conoce a algunos que han pedido a la comunidad de Santa

María Magdalena para orar por ellos, o si usted mismo necesita a la

comunidad para orar por usted, ahora tenemos un libro de intencio-

nes en la entrada sur de la iglesia. Para ser recordado en las oracio-

nes de la comunidad, simplemente escriba su nombre o el nombre

de la persona que busca oraciones en el libro.�

Yo como todos los miembros de la comunidad nos haremos el hábito

de revisar este libro cada semana, y para mantener a las personas

nombradas allí en sus oraciones durante esa semana. También in-

cluiré los nombres en las oraciones universales en nuestras Misas.�
