appropriate time to suspend the reception of the chalice
at Mass If you have a bad cold or flu, you are dispensed
from the Sunday Mass obligation. Also, at the Sign of
Peace, simply acknowledge your fellow parishioners with
a friendly nod or gesture. Hand disinfectant is available
at all the doors of the Church.
Many Thanks for all the thoughtful cards,
gifts, and prayers extended to Msgr. Darcy
and the entire parish staff. A sincere thank
you is also extended from our homebound
parishioners, who were so touched by your holiday
wishes. Your cards helped to brighten the season for
those who are unable to come to church. And finally,
thank you again for your generous support of the Parish
Giving Tree. We are all blessed to be part of such a strong
community of faith. Thank you!

The Pastor’s Corner
The traditional end of the Christmas Season was today’s
Feast of the Epiphany. Now, we conclude the season on the
Baptism of the Lord, which is Monday, Jan. 9th. Although it
was a marathon liturgical weekend, we celebrated the birth
of Christ in wonderful fashion. The rectory window
candles shine in the darkness until February 2, the
Presentation in the Temple.
Here is a house blessing that can be used to bless your
family home. To all a very blessed new year of grace.
~Monsignor Darcy
AN EPIPHANY HOUSE BLESSING
(All make the Sign of the Cross.)
Head of Household: "Peace be to this house and to all who
dwell here, in the name of the Lord.
All: Blessed be God forever.
Reader: In the beginning was the Word and the Word was
with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning
with God. All things came to be through him, and without
him nothing came to be..... And the Word became flesh and
dwelt among us, and we saw his glory, the glory as of the
Father’s only Son, full of grace and truth. (John 1:1-3.14)

Christus Mansionem Benedicat
(May Christ Bless This House)
or, for the Three Magi: Caspar, Malchior, Bathazar.
Prayed by all: Lord God of heaven and earth, you revealed
your only begotten Son to every nation by the guidance of a
star. Bless this house and all who inhabit it. May we be
blessed with health, goodness of heart, gentleness and the
keeping of your law. Fill us with the light of Christ, so that
our love for each other may go out to all. We ask this
through Christ our Lord. Amen.
