Weekend Saturday—4:00pm & Spanish Mass 5:30pm Sunday—8:00am & 11:00am

Weekday Mon, Tues & Thurs-12:05pm; Wed-6:00pm; Fri-8:00am Reconciliation Wednesday at 5:15pm & Saturday at 3:15pm or by calling to schedule an appointment.

Sacrament of Baptism—The sacrament of baptism for infants is administered on the 3rd weekend of the month. Parents should contact the parish office to set up an appointment for a baptism preparation class at least 1 month prior to the baptism. Parents must be registered parishioners or have a letter from their home parish with permission for the baptism to take place at a different church. Godparents must be practicing Catholics at least 16 years of age who have received the sacrament of confirmation and have a letter of good standing from the pastor of their home parish if they are not registered parishioners of St. Leo. A baptized Christian who is not Catholic may serve as a Christian witness to the baptism but not as a godparent. Sacrament of Marriage—A couple wishing to marry must contact the priest at least six months before setting the wedding date. The couple will be required to attend a marriage preparation course which will include at least one formal program such as an Engaged Encounter weekend or the Sponsor Couple Program. Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick—The Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick is celebrated upon request. Please notify the pastor or call the parish office if you know of anyone who might need this sacrament. Please inform the pastor or someone in the parish office if you or any of your family is in the hospital. Sacrament of Reconciliation—The sacrament of Reconciliation is available each Wednesday from 5:15pm-5:45pm, Saturday 3:15pm-3:45pm or by calling the Parish Office for an appointment. Additional times are listed in the bulletin during Lent and Advent. Sacrament of Eucharist to the Homebound—Please notify the Parish Office if you or a family member is homebound and would like to receive the Eucharist. Parish Hall or Classroom Use—Use of the Parish Hall or classrooms for all meetings must be cleared through the Parish Office. All non-parish events such as showers, rehearsal dinners, wedding/anniversary receptions must be reserved 3 weeks before the event. The Diocese requires the purchase of an insurance policy covering the non-parish events.

462. Are family bonds an absolute good? Family ties are important but not absolute, because the first vocation of a Christian is to follow Jesus and love him: “He who loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; whoever loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me” (Matthew 10:37). News & Events Updates from Fr Brandon

Saint Leo reopening: Bishop Medley has given permission for public Masses to resume in our diocese. Here at Saint Leo, we will resume with a "soft" gradual reopening as we try to work our way into the "new normal" of life in church during this pandemic. We will have a temporary revised Mass schedule as we work our way up to normal. The revised Mass schedule at St Leo will be: Sundays 8:00 am and 11:00 am (bilingual), Wednesdays 6:00 pm, and Fridays 8:00 am. There will be no Saturday evening Masses for the time being, and no daily Mass other than Wednesday and Friday. The daily Masses on Wednesdays and Fridays will include the prayers, readings, and homily from the Sunday Mass. This means there will be 4 opportunities to hear the same Sunday Mass at various times throughout the week. In order to accommodate people with the limited seating capacity, if you are inclined to attend Mass, please attend only 1 time during the week. Again this schedule is temporary until further notice. However, there is a dispensation from the Sunday obligation until further notice. No one is required to return at this time. Please stay home if you are elderly or have medical conditions. We will have limited seating capacity at each mass, and once the capacity is reached we cannot admit more people. The diocese is also requiring everyone who attends Mass to wear their face masks for the entirety of Mass. Anyone age 2 and above, adults and children included, are required to wear their masks. If anyone cannot or will not wear their mask for Mass, they will be told to return home. Also, we will continue recording the Sunday 11:00 am Mass and posting it on Saint Leo's Facebook and YouTube pages until further notice. You may also participate in Sunday Masses broadcast and streamed on EWTN with your cable or satellite provider as well as www.ewtn.com and with Bishop Barron at his website www.wordonfire.org. Also, the Sacrament of Reconciliation is available at this time by appointment only. Please call the parish office or drop Fr. Brandon an email to make an appointment. We continue to hold one another in prayer during these difficult times. Know that I pray for you daily!

With Immaculate Mary’s “Ave Maria” for its refrain, Andy Williams’ “Village of Saint Bernadette” peaked at #7 on Billboard’s Top 40 at Christmas 1959, airing on radio stations all over America. Imagine! April 16 marks the feast of Bernardette Soubirous, the teenager who, combing a refuse heap for firewood, saw a “beautiful lady” who identified herself in words Bernadette faithfully reported to the bishop, though she did not understand their meaning: “I am the Immaculate Conception.” Relentlessly interrogated, she never wavered in her story or sweetness. Chronically ill all her life and dead at thirty-five, Bernadette left behind the shrine at Lourdes where healing waters still flow from the spring that her “beautiful lady” pointed out to her.
