DOCUMENTARY & MOVIE MONDAY

On the last Monday of every month at 7:00PM, we wel-

come everyone to St.Kevin’s to watch some documen-

taries or movies.

We started with the 1st & 2nd volumes of a largely

viewed 10 part series called “Catholicism”.

This month, on Oct 29th at 7:00pm, we will watch the

3rd & 4th volumes of this series.

This is a wonderful opportunity to get to know about

the Catholic Religion, theology and culture.

Thank you very much for your generous contribution to last week’s

World Mission Sunday collection. This support is a blessing for the

Bishops, the Priests, the Sisters, the Brothers and the lay catechists who

depend on this help from the Society for the Propagation of the Faith.

Please continue to pray for those who serve in mission countries so that

they may remain steadfast in their vocation to bring Christ’s message of

love to those they serve.

2019 Calendars for Sale:

Our Lady of Peace Knights of Columbus Council #3866 will be selling

calendars - contact John Byrnes at 705-858-1295.

St.Kevin’s Knights of Columbus Council #1387 will also be selling calendars,

before and after Masses.

These calendars are in support of the McCulloch Sudbury Hospice

Foundation. Across the city 4,400 calendars will be sold.

Each calendar gives a chance to win: 353 daily draws of $40; 8

monthly draws; and 4 special draws.

The CWL would like to thank all of the parishioners of

St. Kevin’s for the generosity you have shown. A won-

derful sum of $985 was collected in Gift Cards for the

Homeless. We know it makes a difference in their lives.

PASTORAL WORKSHOPS — Parish Pastoral councils & Pastoral ministry

Baptism workshop 2: Diocesan guidelines for Infant Baptism

Following up from the previous workshop, there will be a presentation of proposed

Diocesan guidelines for the Baptism of infants. This will be an opportunity to pro-

vide feedback/suggested amendments for this document.

Tuesday, 6th November 7-9pm at Holy Redeemer parish hall (1887 Bancroft Drive).

Youth Minister Wanted St. Andrew the Apostle Church in New Sudbury and St. John the Evangelist Church

is Garson have agreed to hire a youth minister who would divide his/her time be-

tween the two parishes. The youth group will be for middle school children (grades

6 to 8). The youth minister must have transportation and will alternate Wednesday

evenings at each parish. The contracted position pays $5,000.00 for ten months.

(No youth group for July and August) For a full job description, please visit the par-

phones. We accept items to recycle all year long at the Thrift

Store - so go ahead and turn your e-waste trash to cash for the Society of

Saint Vincent de Paul.
