Fun Days: Faith, Family and Community—is occurring and fully

functioning by the time you are reading this article. This weekend is a

result of a three year process of prayer, planning and preparation.

May God bless our efforts, bring our parish community closer together

and make us a beacon of faith and hope to the metro community.

Welcome Deacon Josh Link—who arrived on May 29th and will be with us until July

31st. Deacon Link was ordained by Archbishop Jackels on May 25th and will participate in

an internship program with the parish. While here, he will emphasize developing his

preaching skills for Sunday and daily Masses, participate in the funeral process which

begins with the death of a parishioner and extends through planning the funeral, the Vigil

and visitation, the funeral itself and burial. He will also be offered opportunities to baptize

and to address other areas of his pastoral formation. Please welcome Deacon Link to our

parish and take some time to get to know him. Deacons Link and Tyler Raymond are

classmates and both are preparing for ordination to the priesthood next year.
