St. Maurice St. Maurice was born in an ancient city near Egypt 250 years after Jesus Christ. He worked his way up through the ranks of the Roman Ar-my, eventually becoming a general. As the leader of the Thebes Legion, Maurice and his army of six thou-

sand African men were ordered to fight against a rebellion threatening the empire but after learning his ‘enemies’ were Christians, he and his men re-fused. In return, the emperor exe-cuted Maurice and most of his men. He became the Patron Saint of southern Germany and parts of France.

2017 Mass Intention Book: The 2017 Mass Intention Book is now open. If you would like to offer a Mass Intention for another per-

son (such as on a birthday) or for the Repose of the Soul of a de-ceased loved one, please submit your Mass Intention requests using

the Mass Intention Form or the Mass Intention envelopes provided in the back of church. The donation for Mass Intentions is $5.00 and

the donation for the Sanctuary Candle is $10.00. For more infor-mation call the Parish Office.

Please join us for a Mass of Thanksgiving on Thursday, No-

vember 24, 2016 at 8:30am in the Church. Our Parishioners

are encouraged to bring the bread that will be shared during

their Thanksgiving Meals to be blessed.

to have your loved one remembered with

a Spiritual Bouquet in the “Loving

Memory Of” section of the bulletin,

please use one of the special envelopes in

the back of the church. Place your sealed

envelope in the collection basket during Mass or bring it to

the Parish office no later than Wednesday, December 21,

2016. The Renewal period begins with the January 1, 2017

bulletin. Requests will be accepted after January 1, 2017.

The Memorial will be printed from the date received through

the end of 2017. The donation for the Spiritual Bouquet is

$100 each.
