Greetings, As this is my last letter to you as Exalted
Ruler, I want to thank all of you for your support not only for me but also for the lodge.
Mike Turner will become the new Exalted Ruler as of April 1st. I don’t think he will mind my saying that we are looking for people to consider becoming officers for the lodge. If anyone would like to take a chair contact him or myself and I can pass the information along to him.
I hope everyone had a good time at the Sweethearts Ball. We had a fun evening and I want to send out a big “Thank You” to the kitchen crew for all their hard work. They all did a great job. I also want to Thank Cathy Russ for coming in to take pictures. I hope everyone was able to participate. Again a big Thank You to all of you that continued to support the lodge.
Respectfully,Darlene JungarExalted Ruler

*** BEST *** The Benevolent Education Study and Tutor Program is an ENF grant funded pilot program pairing students needing assistance with Math, English, Reading, Science, Computers, etc. with Elk Members. WE are now in place at the Jr/Sr High Schools in Raymond, South Bend, and Valley. The school provides students who need our help along with the subject(s). In order to fulfill their requests, we need a database of volunteers. If you can help once or twice a week for an hour or so, it will improve the students’ academics and their esteem.
Email [email protected] with the following information and we will try to match the perfect student with you! If you have any questions, you can call Kelly at 942-7575. Thank You for being an Elk! Name:Email:Phone:Subject(s):Days Available:Times Available:

Did you Know... 1. March is National Frozen Food Month… Grab your favorite TV dinner and dig in.
Hold on, it’s also National Nutrition Month… Hmmm, what to do?
2. Happy New Year! According to the oldest Roman calendars, one year was ten months long, beginning in March and ending in December.
3. The March Equinox will occur 3:28 AM, Monday March 20. On the equinoxes the Sun shines directly on the equator and the length of day and night is nearly equal– but not quite. The March equinox marks the moment the Sun crosses the celestial equator – the imaginary line in the sky above the Earth’s equator – from south to north and vice versa in September.
