Friends & Fellowship On May 17th, the Spanish Prayer Group will host the free hot meal for those in need in our area in the parish hall. Thank you to them and to all our parish groups who help us in this good cause. Also thank you to our Friends & Fellowship committee. Our free hot meals are now the 2nd & 4th Sunday of each month from 1 to 2:30 p.m.

St. Edward Men’s Club Wants You!!

Have you ever wondered how can I serve my Church and make friendships at the same time? Please consider joining the Men's Club. Our sole pur-pose is to fund raise for the benefit of our Church and School. We plan and host such events as the Annual Crab Feed, Christmas Party for St Edward's children, and multiple pancake break-fasts. We only meet once per month. Special Collection Our Church will have a second collection on May 24th for the Nepal Earthquake victims. Please make your donation to St. Edward Church and we will send one check to the Diocese for the Catholic Relief Services. Thank you for your prayers and support.

We Need Volunteers St. Edward’s Altar Society needs vol-unteers to help clean the church every Saturday after the Spanish Mass & Mondays at 6 p.m. Please call the parish office and let us know if you can help us.

FAITH FORMATION REHEARSAL INFORMATION

Rehearsal Time Mass Time May 12 3:30-5:30pm May 16, 9 am May 14 3:30-5:30pm May 16, 1 pm Please note that you must attend the spe-cific rehearsal associated with your as-signed First Communion Mass. Also, each child must be accompanied by at least one parent, and in the case of the Spanish Mass, if you have selected a padrino, they must also attend the rehearsal. No exceptions will be made.

St. Edward Catholic Church Boy Scout Troop 101 Triumphant at Spring Camporee The Scouts of Troop 101 competed with other troops at the district camporee April 17-19 in events including knot tying, fire building, tomahawk throwing, rifle shooting, cooking, and more. In this, just their third year participating, their performance in Scout skills and their demonstration of Scout spirit earned them a number of awards: First Place - Overall Troop First Place - Spirit Award (Third consecutive year) First Place - Golden Axe Award (knife, saw, and axe use) First Place - Campfire Skit First Place - Rifle Shooting First Place - Knotmaster competition Second Place - Dutch Oven Entree (chicken) Third Place - Pioneering Third Place - Knot relay All boys ages 11-17 who want to join the fun are welcome.
