October is also known as Clergy Appreciation Month as well as the Month of the Rosary and Respect Life Month. Praying for our priests is so important! Let us join us together in praising God for Fr. Eduardo Garcia-Ferrer and Fr. Robert Coleman and for their courage and their generosity.

A simple note, a smile, a simple “thank-you” or assuring them of your prayers are great ways to demonstrate your loving care and gratitude for their presence in the life of our parish. The Knights of Columbus will be acknowledging our priests at all Masses on the weekend of October 22/23. Please join them in acknowledging our wonderful priests and pray for an increase in priestly vocations.

O my Jesus, I beg You on behalf of the whole Church: Grant it love and the light of Your Spirit, and give power to the words of priests so that hardened hearts might be brought to repentance and return to You, O Lord.

Lord, give us holy priests; You Yourself maintain them in holiness. O Divine and Great High Priest, may the power of your mercy accompany them everywhere and protect them from the devil’s traps and snares which are continually being set for the souls of priests. May the power of Your mercy, O Lord, shatter and bring to naught all that might tarnish the sanctity of priests, for You can do all things. Amen.

Oh Jesús mío, te ruego por toda la Iglesia: concédele el amor y la luz de tu Espíritu y da poder a las palabras de los sacerdotes para que los corazones endurecidos se ablanden y vuelvan a ti, Señor.

Señor, danos sacerdotes santos; Tú mismo consérvalos en la santidad. Oh Divino y Sumo Sacerdote, que el poder de tu misericordia los acompañe en todas partes y los proteja de las trampas y asechanzas del demonio, que están siendo tendidas incesantemente para las almas de los sacerdotes. Que el poder de tu misericordia, oh Señor, destruya y haga fracasar lo que pueda empañar la santidad de los sacerdotes,

ya que tú lo puedes todo. Amén.

Al mes de octubre también se le conoce como el Mes de Apreciación a los Sacerdotes, así como el Mes del Rosario y del Respeto a la Vida. ¡Es muy importante orar por nuestros sacerdotes! Dejémosles saber al Padre Eduardo García-Ferrer y al Padre Roberto Coleman que apreciamos su vocación y que les agradecemos su generosidad. Simplemente una sonrisa, un simple “gracias” o escribiéndoles una nota dejándoles saber que aprecian su trabajo y que les agradecen su presencia en la parroquia. Los Caballeros de Colón estarán agradeciendo a los sacerdotes en las Misas del fin de semana del 22 y 23 de octubre. Acompáñelos a agradecerles de manera especial, su presencia; y también a orar por un aumento en las vocaciones sacerdotales.
