Harvey Life Walk, Wednesday, September 27th

hosted by Harvey Right to Life.

The Harvey Right to Life chapter is supporting the FirstChoice Clinics on Wednesday night, September 27, to raise funds so they can pro-vide prenatal and parenting education, coun-

seling, ultrasounds, pregnancy testing, clothing, and emotional support to wom-en with unplanned pregnancies. These services are being provided at no cost and confidentially by licensed professionals to women at Fargo, Bismarck, & Devils Lake. People often ask “how can I help” or “how can one person make a difference’ in the battle against the culture of darkness and an increasingly God less world. You can start by showing your support by participating in the walk and consid-ering a small (or large) donation to help many women at risk.

Join us for the Harvey Life Walk at St. Cecilia’s Parish parking lot at 6:30 p.m. for a little exercise, fellowship and prayer.

Donation envelopes will be made available at the walk, or checks made out and mailed to: FirstChoice Clinic, 1351 Page Dr. Suite 205 Fargo, ND 58103. For more information, go to teamfirstchoice.com

Walk with Christ for Life is October 1. Bishop Folda invites the faithful of the diocese to join him in the annual Eucharistic proces-sion, Walk with Christ for Life, on Sunday, October 1. The day’s events will begin with Holy Mass at noon at the Cathedral of St.

Mary, 604 Broadway. This will be followed by a prayerful, peaceful procession to the state’s only abortion facility. A short prayer service will be held outside the abortion facility, then those gathered will return to the Cathedral for Bene-diction. A lunch will be served by the Cardinal Muench Council of Knights of Columbus in the church social hall after Benediction. The Walk is sponsored by the Diocese of Fargo Respect Life Office. For information, call Rachelle Sauvageau, (701) 356-7910.

Stewardship Moment September 17, 2017 – 24th Sunday in Ordinary Time

“For if we live, we live for the Lord, and if we die, we die for the Lord; so then, whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s.” – Romans 14:8

This is the essence of stewardship – everything we have and everything we are is a gift from God. We aren’t “owners” of anything, we are merely “stewards” of the gifts that God has given us, especially our very own lives. Pray to God, daily, and ask Him how He wants you to use the gifts He has given you.

“Give Us This Day” Daily Prayer For Today’s Catholic

Subscription renewals and/or new subscriptions will be due by Sept. 22. The rate is 29.95 for a 1 year subscription. You may order & pay by placing in an envelope in the collection plate as well. (please indicate on the envelope “This Day”) First issue begins with November.

The Middle School Youth Extravaganza will be held on Saturday, October 14, 9:00 a.m. - 8:30 p.m. at the St. John's Academy in Jamestown, ND. Students with chaperones are invited to attend this special day created just for middle school students. Amazing activities will be hap-pening the entire day just for this age group! Students in Grades 6 through 8 are invited.

Cost: $35 per student, $15 per chaperone, price includes lunch and dinner!

Our theme for this event is 'Love your #selfie'. This is based on the bible verse Samuel 16:7. "The Lord does not look at things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart." In other words, it is important for us to love ourselves like God loves us. Don't judge yourself or others by appearance. Look deeply into your heart and soul! Know who you are and love yourself!

Our keynote speaker, Stacey Sumereau-Jackson, will be highlight-ing the day. She is a very talented young lady who has quite the stories to tell about being on Broadway, having an acting and sing-ing career and finally being led to Jesus Christ. Check out her YouTube video. If you have questions, please contact Kathy Loney at 701-356-7902 or email her at [email protected].
