This is the verdict, the the light came in to the world, but people preferred darkness to light, because their words were evil. For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come toward the light, so that his works might not be exposed. But whoever lives the truth comes to the light, so that his works may be clearly seen as done in God. Living the truth does not mean denying that we sin. We all sin. But when we are contrite, God’s light~~a warm, loving, peaceful, joyful light that penetrates our soul~~awaits us. It us where we are meant to be. It is where God desires us to be.

Next weekend at the 8:00am Mass we will celebrate the “Third Scrutiny” for those in our catechumenal process; Pedro Flores, Analia Ayde Hernandez, Jared Sanchez, Snyder Varela, Edgar, Eduardo and Perla Villegas; who are preparing for initiation at the Easter Vigil. These very moving and powerful pray-ers ask God’s protection on those who will soon become full members of our Catholic Church through the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist. In the scrutinies, we pray for deliverance from evil and protection against all of the demonic forces that would enslave the disciples of Jesus. Your prayers and your support are important for our sisters and brothers who have been journeying for so many months toward the sacra-ments of Christian initiation. Please join us next week, and please continue to hold in your Lenten prayers the elect who count on you for support in making their faith journey.

St. Anne Church is now accepting tuition assistance requests for the school year 2018-19 for children in Catholic elementary and high schools. Applications are now available at the parish of-fice. Please remember that families receiving assistance for the present school year must reapply for next school year; there is no automatic renewal of assistance. Both elementary school and high school applications must be submitted to the parish office by 3/20/2018 please submit your application as soon as possi-ble. In addition, all families seeking tuition assistance must apply online to FACTS Tuition Grant and Aid(https://online.factsmgt.com/aid)by 3/20/2018. (An application fee per family for processing FACTS Applications will apply). Please phone the parish office with any questions.
