On Holy Thursday, March 29 we are extending the opportunity to all who would like to take
part in the Washing of the Feet.
If you would like to participate, please come to the Liturgy in shoes that are easily removed and put back on.
(sandals without socks are ideal, but not required)
When it’s time, the RCIA Elect will first wash each others’ feet at stations throughout the church. Those who wish to come forward will line up. The first person will remove one shoe, sit down, and the
person in line behind them will pour a little water on their foot and dry it gently with a towel. After your foot is washed you will return to your
seat. Then that washer will sit and the person behind him/her will repeat the procedure.
Our Elect, RCIA team, and Ushers will be standing by to assist as needed.

Lenten Rice Bowls Encountering our neighbors
We encounter Alefa in Malawi, where seeds are helping her
family survive an uncertain climate. How can you care for God’s creation this Lent? How can you support those, worldwide, who are
forced to flee their homes to find safety or better opportunities? Visit crsricebowl.org for more information.
JUSTICE PRAYER/REFLECTION
“When we consider your world, O God, we seem to be aware of the bizarre,
the out-of-kilter, the extraordinary. Only occasionally do we marvel at day following night,
at the repeating cycles of birth, growth, decay and death, at the consistency of the phases of the moon. Give us the grace to wonder at the ordinary.”

Reflection from El Salvador
During the next two weeks, a member of the 2018 Delegation will share a reflection of his/her experience in
El Salvador. Below is Marge Schwede’s reflection.
What a tremendously eye opening, heart wrenching, faith filled adventure.
These are a people, who against all odds, are surviving in solidarity and exemplary faith
the injustices of the past and those that continue to plague their lives today.
We heard many stories of surviving the war years. When asked how they survived they
faithfully say, "by the grace of God." Yes, faith filled, gracious, joyous people,
looking for a more just life. To be able to feed, clothe and educate their families
and sustain their country through politics, gang problems and global warming.
A very heart felt adventure getting to know a wonderful people!
