St. Andrew’s Parish is a unique - diverse
community of people who live and share life
through trusting, loving and serving.
Our community is already gifted, enriched
by many cultures and voices on a Mission to
listen to the needs of others with an
attitude of openness and acceptance for a
deeper understanding and cooperation.
In our journey of life and faith, we will work
and strive to build a more peaceful and
better society for a greater future. We like
to share our talents by developing and
maintaining a parish community that is
active, vibrant and spiritually strong.
We look forward to preserving our faith
traditions, reaching out to others as the

SIXTH SUNDAY OF EASTER –A- MAY 21ST
, 2017
All who love me will keep my words, and my Father will love them, and we will come to them.
There is a great mystery of hope contained in today’s gospel and we should take courage from it.
The church has never been deprived of the truth of God. In the Holy Spirit we have a helper and
a comforter who makes Jesus present in each generation to every person in their individual
situation. But remember, the Holy Spirit will not arrive unannounced or force an entry into any
person’s heart. Jesus can only free and save those who seek to be saved. We will receive the
Lord’s spirit and grow in our awareness of Jesus only if we request it in prayer and follow the
law of God by keeping the commandments.
THIS WEEK: Monday: Victoria Day, St. Rita of Cascia; Wednesday: World Day of Prayer for the Church in China,
Blessed Louis-Zephirin Moreau, bishop; Thursday: St. Bede the Venerable, priest & doctor of the church, St. Gregory
VII, pope, St. Mary Magdalene de’ Pazzi, virgin; Friday: St. Philip Neri, priest; Saturday: St. Augustine of Canterbury,
bishop.
